3 WR offense readme file This ZIP contains plays for the 3 WR offense. The 3 WR offense is a standard part of nearly all offenses where it is used mostly in long yardage situations. However, some teams make use of it as a base offense. The Detriot Lions are probably the best well known former users. In 1996, they hit their high point by having two 1000 yard recievers and a 1000 yard rusher despite having Scott Mitchell for their QB. The 3 WR offense I made isn't based on that of any real team. It's merely an offense that uses mostly 3 WRs, 1 TE, and 1 RB formations. My offense uses the TE more than most real 3 WR offenses do. If you use this 3 WR offense as your base offense, I suggest the following... 3 RBs (including a star RB) 6-7 WRs (depending on EN) 2-3 TEs (depending on EN) good OL that can drive block good, mobile QB Benefits of this offense: spreads the field increased chance of big play don't need a FB more people for the QB to throw to takes advantage of the large number of quality WRs disadvantages: no lead block can't run outside very well fewer blockers to protect QB need a very good RB need a good OL Hope you enjoy. Please let me know if you have success with this offense. Feel free to send any comments or questions as well. -- Josh Liller JL_Stinger@yahoo.com http://www.geocities.com/JL_Stinger/fbpro/fbpro.html
