Can I Borrow A Cup of Gel?
(04.05) Source - E!: You all know Britney Spears has packed up her bustiers and spandex and moved west (at least for part of the year) to Hell-Ay, doncha? But I betcha don't know what happened before the big move.
According to some chatty (and close) chums of the Pop Princess, Brit's arrival at her new Mediterranean-style Bev Hills digs were not taken lightly. The house had to be searched from floor to ceiling, top to bottom. A team of experts was hired to check for any bugs or wires and make sure the place was secure. And to top it off, the Pepsi pusher had blackout fences installed around the posh palace to keep paparazzi, fans and assorted looky-loos out.
(Makes sense. Gawd, even Bob Dole's got his eye on her these days.)
One person who won't be kept on the sidewalk is your sweetie and mine (Brit's, too), Justin Timberlake. Although the teenage twosome may not be living in the same house, that doesn't mean the perky pair aren't spending all their time together--so the goopy gab goes.
Could that be because these two darlings are neighbors? Not only has J.T. purchased a pad in the same exclusive enclave as Brit, but "they can see each other's houses from their own places," said a source close to the cutesy crooners.
(The teen tunesters' rep has not returned calls.)
Now, don't start getting bedroom eyes--or ideas--at the thought, my frisky followers. The same Spears/Timberlake confidante added, "It's all true, what they say about staying virgins and all that. They are really just the nicest people."
They? Hmmm. Who knew? Not sure I believe the prissy pros on this one, but young people do do the strangest things these days, n'est-ce pas? (I'll be sure to keep you abreast of things as the above hot properties develop.)

*NSYNC PopOdyssey Tour Dates Change
(04.05) Source - MTV: *NSYNC's highly anticipated summer tour, PopOdyssey, is apparently such a spectacle, the group has been forced to delay opening night by six days to properly prepare.
The outing is now scheduled to kick off May 18 at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, according to promoters. The previous opening night, May 12 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida, has been moved to August 2.
Other dates have been changed (May 15 in Tampa, Florida, to July 31; May 24 in Atlanta, Georgia, to August 11; June 6 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to June 8; June 12 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to June 13; June 29 in Detroit, Michigan, to June 30; August 10 in Louisville, Kentucky, to August 9), deleted (May 22 in Charlotte, North Carolina; July 31 in Las Cruces, New Mexico; August 18 in Memphis, Tennessee) and added (August 18 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; August 22 in New Orleans, Louisiana).
Extra time was needed by the production staff to complete the tour's staging, according to a press release. Promoters said the 88 trucks it will require to carry the production make PopOdyssey the largest tour in pop history.
"[*NSYNC] wanted to make sure that all their fans got the full effect of this dynamic tour," Brad Wavra of SFX, the tour's promoters, said in the release. "We, along with the group, regret any inconvenience this schedule change may have caused for the fans. We promise this tour will be a musical extravaganza for the record books."
Refunds will be given to fans who purchased tickets to canceled shows.
*NSYNC is scheduled to play 45 dates in 38 cities. Television-spawned pop group Eden's Crush will join the group on June 19 and open for the remainder of the tour.

Britney Spears Opens Up To 'Glamour'
(04.04) Source - Launch: Britney Spears speaks to Glamour magazine about her relationship with *NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake, her new book, and Madonna in the magazine's May issue, which hits newsstands on April 10.
Spears tells the magazine that she spends as much time as her busy schedule allows with her boyfriend, *NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake. "We try to soak up as much time as we can, but it still doesn't seem like enough," she says. "We go out to dinner and try to have a normal relationship." Spears, who is a Sagittarius, adds, "He's an Aquarius, so he's all about being independent, basically the same as me. We have to have our freedom. That's what's really cool with J, because he's such an individual - when we come together, it's great." Spears's new novel is titled A Mother's Gift, and it is co-written by her mother, Lynne Spears. The singer says the book is evidence of the close bond she shares with her mother, and goes on, "There are so many negative things out there for this generation that I just wanted to have something inspirational."
In Glamour, Spears also discusses her much-hyped duet with Madonna that never ended up happening, "I think if I had called her and said, 'Let's do a song together,' it would have been cool, but with record-company politics, I don't think it's going to work out." As to why she doesn't just call Madonna, Spears replies, "I would really love to do that!"
Spears also had something to say to those who would accuse her of flaunting her sexuality on stage: "Guys grab their crotches and nobody says anything, but if a girl does a shimmy and shows her belly, it's a huge deal!" she asserts. When asked if she considers herself a girl or a woman, Spears said, "I'm in-between. I'd consider myself a girl-woman, yeah. But I don't like defining things. I just am."

Famous Name for *NSYNC CD
(04.03) Source - Rolling Stone: "Celebrity" due June 26th
*NSYNC's upcoming album, the follow-up to last year's commercially record-breaking No Strings Attached - which moved 2.4 million copies its first week in stores and over 10 million to date - will be called Celebrity, a subject the group can certainly identify with. The album will hit stores June 26th, six weeks after *NSYNC kick off their spring/summer tour.
Justin Timberlake, who talked to Rolling Stone three weeks ago from the studio, said that this album is going bring out a different sound from the group. "We tapped into a lot of different flavors," he said, crediting the presence of the Celebrity's several contributing producers, including Rodney Jerkins and the Neptunes, who have worked with No Doubt, Jay-Z and Mystikal.
"I didn't think it was going to be this crazy," Timberlake continued. "Something keeps happening every time we put an album together that this vibe kinda kicks in. It's so intense, but it's a hell of a lot of fun."

*NSYNC's 'Celebrity' Scheduled For June 26 Release
(04.03) Source - Launch: *NSYNC's new album Celebrity is scheduled for release on June 26, according to Jive Records. "You know, I don't think we'll be able to break it again, but to have it for a little while is great."
Among the producers working with *NSYNCon Celebrity are the Neptunes (Ludacris, Jay-Z). No Strings Attached is currently Number 75 on the Billboard 200 chart after 53 weeks.

*NSYNC's 'Celebrity' Arrives June 26
(04.03) Source - Billboard: Just as word comes that advance ticket sales for *NSYNC's upcoming stadium tour aren't quite up to par with the boy band's last outing, Jive Records has announced a June 26 release for the act's forthcoming album, "Celebrity." The set will be released only 15 months after *NSYNC's "No Strings Attached" set a first week sales record by moving a whopping 2.4 million copies last March.
Veteran rap producers the Neptunes (Mystikal, Jay-Z) lent the boys a helping hand in the studio, and fans should expect a first single before the group's tour kicks off May 12 at Miami's Pro Player Stadium. The album's release could give a much-needed sales boost to some of the tour's dates. As reported in the April 7 issue of Billboard, dates in Charlotte, N.C. (May 22) and Birmingham, Ala. (Aug. 7), have experienced lackluster sales.
The tour will feature a rotating lineup of opening acts, including various combinations of BBMak, 3LW, Eden's Crush, Samantha Mumba, Dream, and Meredith Brooks. If "Celebrity" doesn't provide a sales spike for the tour, some dates may be moved indoors, or relocated to a different city altogether.
"No Strings Attached" is No. 75 on The Billboard 200 in its 53rd week. After peaking at No. 5 last December, latest single "This I Promise You" dropped off The Billboard Hot 100 for the week of March 24.

*NSYNC to Release 'Celebrity' in June
(04.03) Source - Wall Of Sound: Though it seems like just yesterday they were singing "Bye, Bye, Bye," the boys of *NSYNC will be back again June 26, with a new album in stores.
The boy band's fourth LP will be titled Celebrity appropriately enough, as the quintet has rocketed to superstar status over the past year and a half.
Last year's No Strings Attached broke sales records when it sold 2.4 million copies in its first week on the rack. Big record stores will be eager to bring in boxes of Celebrity, though whether the band can break its own record will be a test of the resilience of teen pop or even the economy.
The album's success will also, no doubt, depend on the first single, said to be an up-tempo track due to hit radio in late April.
The band has said that the album which includes such songs as the title track, "Dirty Pop," "Game Over," and "Gone" is eclectic in feel. The band branched out in its production team, this time working with R&B and hip-hop producers the Neptunes.
If radio play doesn't add enough hype, the boys aim to drive fans into a frenzy in advance of the release with the Pop Odyssey tour, which kicks off May 12 in Miami, with television-created pop group Eden's Crush the first female group to debut at No. 1 on the pop charts, with its debut single, "Get Over Yourself" as the opening act.

*NSYNC To Release Celebrity On June 26
(04.02) Source - Billboard: *NSYNC have titled their fourth album after something they know a lot about: Celebrity. The follow-up to last year's No Strings Attached which sold a record-setting 2.4 million copies in its first week is due June 26.
Jive Records hopes to have a first single out by the end of April, a spokesperson said. Though there's no word on the title, it's promised to be an uptempo track.
The group's members recently said their new album will dip into such genres as electronica, hard R&B, "straight-up dance music" and even country. *NSYNC recorded material last month with production duo the Neptunes, who have worked with rappers Mystikal, Jay-Z and Ol' Dirty Bastard, R&B diva Kelis and pop-rockers No Doubt.
*NSYNC will kick off a summer tour on May 12 in Miami with television-born pop group Eden's Crush in tow. On Friday, the guys attended the Los Angeles premiere of the concert film Bigger Than Live. Fans can go to nsyncbiggerthanlive.com to find out when the movie will be playing at a nearby IMAX or large screen theater.
