Once a wicked Pharaoh
Killed all the baby boys
And made God's people,
The Israelites
Into his helpless slaves.
But God made them multiply
And Pharaoh was scared they
Would fight
And so he worked them harder
Making bricks all day and night.
But then, a baby, Moses
Was born in Amram's house.
And in case Pharaoh would kill him
They kept him quiet as a mouse.
And with God's help they hid him
In a little basket small.
And set him on the river
At night when the tide was full.
Then little baby Moses
One morning was then found
And taken back by the Pharaoh's daughter
To be adopted to the crown.
And the mother of little Moses
Was his nurse till he grew
And later he helped God save Israel
Faithful Moses strong and true.
