| Exerpt from the author's note; This story began as my first work of fiction in semi-midieval times. It was originally named "Arrakis: The Story of Brian" but was changed due to copyright laws in the U.S. "Madrid: Brian's Story" is the tale of how a young boy's life changes when he finds a diamond that leads him to leave his village of 16 years. What he finds out, however, would bring him far more than wealth ever could. It is my hope that the audience intended (7-18) enjoys this immensely. It is original, and while some characters are based on different entities the majority of them are entirely fiction as well as this story. None of it is to be taken seriously (as real anyway) but rather as an action-based novel with brief moments of reprieve. It was thought that the language used within is not that of a seven-year-olds but rather of an eighteen-year-olds. To him or her I would say that it matters not, for I have seen the bemuddled minds of adolescents and eighteen-years-olds and thought far less of them than I do children. Children don't do what their parents tell them; the common teen engages in unlawful activity on a daily basis. |
