| "Like A Stone" On a cobweb afternoon In a room full of emptiness By a freeway I confess I was lost in the pages Of a book full of death Reading how we'll die alone If we're good we'll lay to rest Anywhere we want to go [Chorus] In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone On my deathbed I will pray To the gods and thee angels Like a pagan to anyone Who will take me to heaven To a place I recall I was there so long ago The sky was bruised The win was bled And there you led me on [Chorus] In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone Alone And on I read Until the day was gone And I sat in regret Of all the things I've done For all that I've blessed And all that I've wronged In dreams until my death I will wonder on [Chorus] In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone Alone |

| My whole life after losing Leslie and God and religion is summed up in this song. The Dude is in a hotel room reading a Bible and looking back on his life. And he knows what he wants but is not sure if he will get it for he has done a lot of things he regrets and hopes he will be forgiven. That's what I see. At first I thought he was gonna commit suicide but nahhh. He is just reflecting on his life and relationship with God.....Ugggg that's just my thoughts on it. I love the song. Audioslave has became one of my favorite bands. They are SOUNDGARDEN crossed with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE |
