INCENSE

'Preparation, Associations, Recipes'

Incense can aid in the attainment of altered states of consciousness. It can be purchased in cones, sticks, cubes, or raw (powdered). I prefer the raw incense set on a charcoal block or disc. With the powdered incense, you can easily tailor your own scents and include herbs.

There are a few guides for preparing your incense:

 1. Ensure all herbs, spices, peels, woods, and flowers are completely dry before preparation.
 2. Grind ALL ingredients to a fine powder.
 3. Mix all ingredients in glass containers, with clean fingers or clean stick.
 4. Allow incense to rest over night to dry.
 5. Storage or any unused incense should be in a tight sealing glass jar, away from light.
 6. Preparation of incense is part of your ritual, try to blend your energies with the incense as you prepare and use it.
