'FLOWER MAGICK'
Traditionally, flowers are known for helping us to focus our energies
toward happiness and well being. The use of flowers for their healing properties is very ancient, but it was thanks to the Edwardians that the practice has made a very strong come back.
You can use this fun Flower Magick with Candle Magick. Ideally, you can use
flowers that are fresh, dried or even the silk ones. What ever your budget allows. However, I recommend using plastic flowers if you're thinking of
re-using them. Dried and silk flowers are very fragile and best suited for
a one time use. If you prefer to always use dried-silk flowers rather than purchasing plastic ones, its your choice. The idea here is to select one or
a combination of not more than 3, flowers whose properties are associated
with health and well being. For example: roses are beautiful, but they are associated with love and romance. Sunflowers on the other hand, are associated with energy and vigor. So for this type of spell you'll need to do a little homework. Below I have provided a small list of the flowers I use in healing spells:
Sunflowers
Daffodils
Lilies
Lavender
Carnations
Lilac's
Amarylis
These are flowers I personally associate with health, strength and energy. I use Carnations the most. They're easy to fine in stores. However, you can create your own personal selection based on what feels natural for you and
best expresses healing.
When you're ready to proceed, place the flowers in a small vase, cup, even
an old wine bottle, which has been cleansed, charged, and empowered. Remember to cleanse both the container and the flowers.
Write down the name of the person who is ill. Carve their name on a green candle. Anoint with 'OLIVE OIL' not your regular Altar oil! Make sure to begin rubbing the oil from the center of the candle to the wick and then
from the center of the candle toward the end. I light incense also.
Best time for this spell is Friday or Sunday on New Moon.
Light the candles, place the paper inside the container with the flowers.
Say this sample Spell or write your own!
"Hail the power of the flower;
Healing starts from this hour..."
Allow the candle to burn down. Leave the items untouched until a complete
lunar cycle has passed, which would be the next New Moon. Then remove the paper, burn it and scatter the ashes outside your home.
If you used plastic flowers go ahead and cleanse all the items with either fresh lemon juice or soaking in spring water. Return them to storage area
until needed again. If you used fresh or dried flowers bury them outside in your garden or yard.
