Art and Charlotte Runyan started the Rainier Bluegrass Festival several years ago, and as it grew the little town of Rainier, Washington took a great interest. The Lions Club began sponsoring the festival, but asked Art and Charlotte to continue to run it, so they did. The Rainier Festival is the last festival of the year in Western Washington. It is held in August.
