EMPLOYMENT
In June of 1996 I joined the full time faculty of the City of Hope National Medical Center as Head of the Section of Thoracic Surgery in the Department of General and Oncologic Surgery.
I joined Edward Hayes MD and Arthur Silver MD in a group practice of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery in Arcadia, California in July 1978. Following the retirement of Dr. Hayes in 1988 I was in a solo practice centered at Methodist Hospital of Southern California in Arcadia. Since 1987 I served as a consulting surgeon in thoracic and vascular surgery at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte California. I have a broad practice of thoracic and vascular with a strong emphasis on thoracic oncologic surgery and esophageal disease.
TEACHING:
I currently supervise the thoracic surgery service at City of Hope National Medical Center. There, I teach thoracic and vascular surgery to the post-graduate fellows in General and Oncologic Surgery, general surgery residents from the University of California at San Diego, and the Martin Luther King Medical Center, and students from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.
