Holden...sigh...that scene in the car with Alyssa killed me...

Such a beautiful movie...my current favourite. I wasn't so crazy about Ben's facial hair at the beginning, but when I saw how amazing the character of Holden was, the scruff didn't matter much anymore.

I loved that movie...

sigh...

It's a story about "guy meets girl, falls in love, learns she's a lesbian..." -- very interesting!

For those who live in a hole and haven't gotten around to seeing maybe one of the best movies ever made, I'll give you some reasons to go grab a copy of "Chasing Amy":

1) Ben Affleck's in it. (that should be incentive enough...)

2) Kevin Smith, the director, is brilliant, as are all of his films.

3) The car scene.

4) If you saw "Clerks" and "Mallrats", you've surely noticed the overlap of characters in both films. Aren't you curious to see if that happens in "Chasing Amy"?

5) The chemistry between Alyssa and Holden is so strong, and so passionate. A little passion is good for you, I hear.

6) How often do you see a film about a guy who wants a girl, but the girl wants another girl? It's original, and it's heartbreak at its deepest.

7) It would be a good "singles" movie. Half-way through it, and maybe even to the end, you will realize that MANY people in the world of dating are having a REALLY rough time with unrequited love, and maybe all you really need, more than a date, is to watch this movie, cry and then smile and be glad you're not suffering.

8) Ben Affleck. He's hot.

9) You know what? Jason Lee's pretty good too...

10) Joey Lauren Adams is a cutie. That should be good for the guys.
