Hen Wen is Dallben's clairvoyant pig. Unlike the Hen Wen from the books who is portrayed as a large beast, Disney's Hen Wen is dainty, plump, with big blue eyes and a cute little snout. She pretty much disappears from the film after Taran rescues her from the Horned King's castle. Hen Wen is a character that is a vital role in the story, but her presence in the film is not necessary. One of the first things we learn about Hen Wen in the movie is that she is terribly spoiled by Dallben and Hen doesn't like Dallben's cooking at all!
Like the Hen Wen from the books, the Disney Hen Wen is easily scared. Running off and getting into trouble. In the movie, Hen uses her powers by a pool of water and a chant:
In the books, Dallben uses the Letter Sticks. When laid before Hen, she touches symbols on the sticks with her snout, telling what she had seen. The Letter Sticks end up getting destroyed in the books.
