The Cauldron Born are the supernatural warriors that are created from dead bodies by the Black Cauldron. They are deathless, which would make them the most destructive beings around. They are the main reason that the Horned King wants to get his hands on the Black Cauldron. The Horned King knows that these deathless warriors, under his command, can enable him to rule the world.
The Cauldron born have fleshless torso and limbs, and wear rotten leather and rusted armor. They carry weapons that look as though they might fall apart at the first blow at someone. The Cauldron Born leave behind them this green cobwebby substance. They can only be killed if a living being will willingly give their life and jump into the Black Cauldron, never to come out alive again. Creepy!
The scene in which the Cauldron Born are brought to life and released, is the most gruesome, scary, and beautiful piece of animation ever produced.
