Okay, guyz, if last week's 1 minute & some seconds of Lisa on "Ellen" didn't quite satisfy your "appetite", this Wednesday's (1/14) episode IS NOT 2 B MISSED!!!!!! It'z ALL about Lisa'z character, Laurie!!! ^_^ Yep, the episode is called, "The Funeral" & it'z about Laurie's father who died suddenly & how she & Ellen have 2 face her family who'z basically "disowned" her becoz of her sexuality. I must say it'z a very touching episode indeed BUT w/ a "ticklish" twist, of 'coz....especially when Ellen thought Laurie woz seeing somebody secretly but turned out 2 B the funeral Laurie didn't want her 2 know about!! That scene woz HILARIOUS, I tell ya!!! ^_^ Well can't say anymore, U SIMPLY GOTTA WATCH!!!
Listen up, folkz! If U wanna watch Lisa in action in "NYPD Blue", FX'z gonna air one of her episodes sometime in April 1998. So, check your TV Guide at that time 4 specific date & time! As soon as I get the specifics, I'll let U know! Come back often 4 updates!! ^_^

Hey! Last nite'z episode woz not shown in itz entirety!! There woz one scene that woz edited out! Bummer!!! There woz supposed 2 B a funny kissing/snuggling scene when "Ellen" & "Laurie" were sitting on the couch in the first part of the show! Whatever happened?? And ABC had the nerve 2 give it a verbal warning when the episode showed nothing but an Absolutely True-2-the-Bone Relationship WOES that almost EVERY couple experience??!! I think the "Break Up" episode woz done in such an amazingly realistik fashion (thanx 2 Laurie'z astounding performance! ^_^) that many people got very upset when "Laurie" told "Ellen" that they should "cool off" 4 a while!!!! Now how many showz affect people in such an affectionate way, huh? Unfortunately, there are only reruns of the show from now on 'til the end of the year. Painful, but I guess we'd just have 2 wait 'til 1/98 B 4 we're able 2 see if the break-up will last!! DAMN!!! :-( BTW, the "edited out" part woz shown on "Entertainment Weekend" last week ~ wanna take a kwik peek at the pix of it? C'mon here...

Hey, check out tonite's weekend edition of "Entertainment Tonight" where Lisa speaks out about the unfair treatment of the hit sitcom, "Ellen" in which she plays Ellen Morgan'z beau, Laurie Manning. The sexy, talented (who happens 2 B very funny, too!) star said that any criticism of Ellen and Laurie's relationship "misses the point"... because sexuality is not the "first thing you see or know about these characters- they're people and the writing especially on 'Ellen' has been so incredibly great..." and, that the last few episodes have covered "real relationship stuff". Wow, coming from a straight person....U GO GRRRRL!!!! I LOVE THIS HETEROSEXUAL WOMAN!!! ;-P

Lisa Darr was recently interviewed by "People" mag (12/1/97) where she talked candidly about herself, her role on "Ellen" & what she thinks of the whole "gay" thing about her on-screen love-interest, Ellen DeGeneres. Below are just a little excerpt of what Lisa had 2 say...
"This is the role of my career," said Darr, who, though heterosexual, relishes more chances 2 lock lips w/ Ellen DeGeneres, as she did in her Oct. 29 debut. "That kiss woz very sweet," she went on. "It'z something people haven't really seen on TV. 2 B a part of groundbreaking television is incredible." Coincidentally, Lisa played another lesbian, as "Kathy", Paige Turco's (or "Officer Abby Sullivan") lover, who got killed off-camera in this season's "NYPD Blue". Vic Kaplan, "Ellen"'s executive producer, told "People" that Lisa's got a lot of charisma; she wins people over. Of 'coz "Ellen"'s main actor, Ellen DeGeneres, had something 2 say about her on-screen beau, too, stating that she's thrilled 2 B working w/ Lisa & the show'z lucky 2 have found her! ^_^
Lisa woz born in Chicago & grew up there ~ she's the younger of 2 kids born 2 a theatre actress & a lawyer. Lisa's full name is "Lisa Darr Grabemann" ~ while growing up in her hometown of Chicago, she acted in grammar & high school productions. She went on 2 obtain an undergrad degree at Stanford University, CA, majoring in Biology, back in 1985 and earned a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from UCLA 2 years later. Oh, wow! Lisa's NOT only ATTRAKTIF & TALENTED in her work, she'z BRAINY, too! ;-P Anywayz, she's appeared in many guest-starring roles including but not limited 2 "ER", "Drew Carey Show", "Frasier" & "NYPD Blue" since then. However, she's NOW MOST NOTABLY known as "Laurie Manning", "Ellen Morgan"'s single mother & mortgage broker lover on the popular-than-ever & controversial sitcom, "Ellen". Lisa, a heterosexual (whatta bummer!!), has a boyfriend, 34, whom she met about a year ago. While the 2 of them often discuss marriage, they keep separate 3-bedroom homes in LA. Said Lisa, "We're not living together until I get the sparkler!" Oh, how old-fashionably sweet! ^_^ Lisa's boyfriend, Zachary Jacobs, a film-editing equipment broker, doesn't have any problem w/ Lisa playing a lesbian on-screen & smooching w/ Ellen! ;-P "I don't care that she's playing a lesbian. This role takes her over the top," said Jacobs. Much 2 Lisa's delite, more & more people are taking notice of her since her appearance on "Ellen." "I've never ever been recognized from anything I've done. I'm thrilled 2 death that this is the thing I'm getting so much attention for. I don't have a problem w/ people asking if I'm gay. It does seem 2 B an obvious question," declared the cute, tall brunette.
