Macy's and Virgin Megastore Promos: Summer 1998
Robin's Concert Review
*N SYNC in Boston August 26, 1998 by: Robin
Ok this review will be short, simple and sweet. I went with my friend Michelle to the show. It was in Downtown Crossings in Boston outside of Macy's. We got there around 11 (an hour before the show was supossed to start) and we were way in the back. We could hardly see ANYTHING and it got worse once the guys came on. It was SO HOT out and the security guards kept making us push in or push back which made it worse.. anywasys we waited for about TWO HOURS before the guys came on at around 1:10 or so. They wore the SAME outfits I've seen them in 3 times beofre... the red and silver/ balck and silver tarckk pants, the adias shirts and then they had gloves on. They opened with the cool dance intro, sang TUMH, did the introductions and JC talked about how it was raining and the floor was a bit slippery but "it's like the mail. In rain,. sleet, snow and hail we deliver!" and when he introcued Lance he told him to say hello in his low vice. So he said "Hello Boston!" as low as he could! LOL! Then they sang "You Got it", "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" which Chris had the audience sing along with the high part, then they did the beatbox thing to Gettin' Jiggy Wit It,, Make 'Em Say UHH, Nice and Slow. And then they did I Want You back and it was over. I can't tell you anymore details cos I couldn't see a thing! once in awhile I caught a glipse of them on stage ot through someone's camcorder. I saw Chris with his long black and white braids in a ponytail, JC once, Justin once, Lance a few times and Joey a few times. Joey looked GOOOODD (he had blond streaks in his hair. ) and JC looked GORGEOUS as usual! stupid chicks kept jumping up and down and a group of girls were sanding on a park bench and when some dad told them to get down so his little kid could see, the mother STORMED over and yelled "They've been here since 8:00 am they chose this spot so they could see! and they have every right to stand up!" soemthign like that.. anyways after that we left because we had chosen NOT to spend $50 on Macy's Back to School junk just to get an autograph. We left Boston at 2 and the autograph session still hadn't started.. so who knows when that got done!

������ Okay, this may be long, cause I don't know how to make this long story any shorter. Anyway, Saturday Aug. 29 is probably the best and one of the worst days of my life.� I left my house at 4am (I live in Virginia) and got to NYC at about 730.� I went to Macys to see what time they opened to see if I could still get a backstage pass for the autograph signing- well people outside were telling me they were all sold out- I was like no way!!! They better not be :-) but we also had to wait in line for tickets to enter the concert so that was a two hour wait to Macys to open, they opened at 10 am. All day sucked big time cause we waited for six hours in hot, hot, & humid heat with everyone pushed and shoved together, I had no space at all, it was crazy and Macy's� didn't organize it very well!!! We waited in line three different times and each time more people pushed and got shoved around it was crazy.� There were more weird things that went wrong during the morning but I wont bore you with the details. On to N SYNC, the concert started 15 minutes late, of course, but not as bad as Robins experience. :-)� The guys looked hot, and wore football� jerseys, I only remember what Joey and Justin wore, white and blue :-).� The concert consisted of the same songs, TUMH, You got It,� Drive Myself Crazy, The Lion Sleeps Tonight w/ Gettin Jiggy w/ it, Gone 'till November (which I loved, that part was the best), Nice and Slow,� the when I say N you say SYNC and then IWYB. The short 40 minute concert.� I took tons of pics and was in about the 2nd row, when it started, then ended up in about the 3rd when it was over.� I took my zoom camera so I hope my pics turned out. :-)� After that was the Autograph signing, and yes I paid 50 bucks, and more waiting.� We waited for about 1 1/2 hours but I ran into friends so time went pretty quick.� When I finally got to see *N Sync up close I was so speechless, I couldn't believe I was there it was great.� Joey had a friend with him, a really cute little boy and was occupied with House, and the lady passed me right along so I only got to talk to Justin for a second, I was like what's up?� Justin said something like not much.� My dad took up a convo with Chris, cause they have the same B-days, Chris said Us Libra's have to stick together and they he hardly ever finds people with that birthday. It was awesome.� :-)� This is the BEST NEWS, I got to Meet the again,� when my dad bought the passes early that day, the lady accidentally gave him TWO!!! So I got to see them twice, two for the price of one, :-) so the second time was way better, there were two girls behind me who were BSB fans, and just started liking *N Sync :-(� about another 1 1/2 hours passed and I got to see them again, this time was so much better, I shook everyone's hand and they all were so nice and sweet.� This is what happened with each guy Joey, was still busy talking with House, so I went on to Lance, :-) he is kinda my fave, so I was like will you sign Jamie on that, he was like yeah sure, so I talked with him a little, then went to JC and talked to him, he is soooo hot in person :-)� Chris I just shook his hand and said hello and then I shook Justin's hand and he looked at me and when I was about to leave he goes, it was nice seeing you again. he signed 350 autographs, and saw that many people, almost 2 hours later, Justin remembered me, I couldn't believe it, that made my day :-)� I shook all there hands and I am still reeling for the experience, I had fun this past weekend. :-)� I was so in Awe the first time I couldn't think, so the second time I was more relaxed.� The BSB fans behind me got a pic with *N Sync, I didn't have a camera so I didn't :-(� This was my third and best *N Sync performance!! :-)
