Below is the list of answers for the Quiz. Give your self 1 point for each one you answer correctly. Add them up at the end to find out how well you faired with the Gang.



#1. In the scene after General Li, Shang, and Chi Fu discuss the army's strategy and come out of a tent, we can see the guys intent in a fight with the other recruits. Looking closely, what is Ling's choice weapon for battering a fellow troop?
C. a fish

It is a large, blue fish that Ling wields against his hapless captive. Although we don't really know what kind of fish it is, we like to refer to it as a trout on the page. ;) The character who's choice weapon is a shoe would most likely be Mulan, and as for the stick and frying pan...Well, remember that rumor you heard about Ling bearing a certain resemblance to another Disney character? A wooden stick is the choice weapon of the animated character Clopin from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the frying pan is (Yes, it is) the weapon of the stage Clopin from Disneyland's Festival of Fools.



#2. Each of the guys has a color scheme--a color that all his outfits are in. What is Chien-Po's color scheme?

#3. By creating color schemes for the gang, Disney hoped to convey the emotion that each character stood for. If Ling's color scheme is yellow, then what "emotion" is associated with him?
B. silliness

If someone is going to get his teeth knocked out, it's going to be Ling. People at Disney found it to be the funniest when Ling got beat up on more then on either of the other two in the Gang and so they gave him the color scheme of yellow. Chien-Po's blue is to convey tranquility or peacefullness, and Yao's red is meant to convey anger.



#4. In the booklet that accompanies the Mulan Original Record Soundtrack, Chinese characters are located above each song title. What are the characters above "A Girl Worth Fighting For", and what do they mean?

This is reguarded as a goof...she had time to take Ling's from him, but for what reason? NOTE: If you picked answer D. Shan-Yu's gray fan you can just stop calculating now, because I'm sure you're at the lowest level. ;)



#12. Mulan was also promoted through cereals. On the back of a Cap'n Crunch box during this promotion, the guys could be seen making a small appearance. Using them, there was a game or puzzle for you to do. What was it?

It reads "Hidden in the bark of the Pole is a maze. Help the Gang of Three--Chien-Po, Ling, and Yao--to the Top!" The Mahjong game that involves the trio is in the Mulan Animated Storybook , and the board game is located in one of the few Mulan coloring books. 1-7 Correct ~

The Gang enjoy using you as a punching bag. Anything you say, or do, is bound to be answered with a knuckle sandwich (Hope you're hungry). You hide in dark corners, and wait for them to get in line in the morning before you pick the place farthest away from them. If you're so much as in the same camp as them, they make it their duty to make you're life a living heck. You've been beaten up, knocked down, and blown up. Right about now you'd trade facing Shan-Yu to them. At least he won't make you suffer.


8-12 Correct ~

"Soldier...who?" The Three either really don't know you exist, or they don't care if you do. Face it, unless you work a whole lot harder to win their admiration than you are right now, you'll never get them to remember your name. Heh, you're lucky if Chien-Po remembers you're there so's not to sit on you during breakfast. Yao wouldn't even so much as bother to raise a fist against you if you hit him. And Ling feels that tales of his manlyness are completely lost on you. If...he could just remember who you are...


13-17 Correct ~

You are invited to group bathing. The ultimate in guy bonding, the trio really want to get to know you better. Who knows, maybe it's time for a fourth member in the Gang? You've certainly shown that you deserve it. Ling, Yao, and Chien-Po would do anything for you! Chien-Po would share his meal with you and Yao would take another black eye from you and laugh it off. Even Ling would give up any of his innumerable girlfriends to you! They like you so much they'd...they'd...dress up in drag for you!
