Cast (in alphabetical order):
Drake Hogestyn (John Black), Michael O’Neill (Father Jansen) with (in flashback sequences only) Nick Benedict (Curtis Reed), Eric Christmas (Father Francis), Roark Critchlow (Mike Horton), Eileen Davidson (Kristen DiMera), Staci Greason (Isabella Black), Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans), Robert Kelker-Kelly (Bo Brady), Joseph Mascolo (Stefano DiMera), Peggy McCay (Caroline Brady), Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera), Lisa Rinna (Billie Brady) and Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady)

Father Jansen arrives at the loft to get an account of the exorcsim for the churches records. He and John think back through the strange events occuring in Salem since before Christmas, which include the burning of the Christmas tree in Salem Place, the desecration of St. Luke’s, the chandelier falling at Bo and Billie’s wedding, the attack on Kristen, Marlena’s change of appearance into Kristen, the fire at St. Luke’s, the seduction on Smith Island and the windstorm which followed Marlena back to Salem, Father Francis’ miraculous recovery, the appearance of the ghost of Curtis Reed and the demon’s tricks using Sami, the arrival of the three religious scholars, Marlena’s transformation into a panther, Kristen’s abduction, the meteor shower, the discovery of Marlena levitating, the fetching of Bishop Andrews, the vision of Isabella and her transformation into the demon, the words "help me" on Marlena’s stomach, Father Francis’ heart attack and finally Marlena’s death. Father Jansen suggests that perhaps the battle with the devil hasn’t finished yet. John declares that, if this is the case, he’s ready for him this time and he’s going to win.

N.B. - A unique episode, in that there are only two actors hired to play out the original sequences featured in this episode (possibly as a result of the fact that a couple of ensuing episodes feature absolutely mammoth sized casts), and also in that the narrative of the storyline would have flowed better had it been transmitted after the episode which followed, in which John is seen not to have yet left Marlena’s apartment following her death.
