Marlena agrees to lunch with Stefano. She receives a delivery and is upset to find it is a gift of season tickets to the symphony from Roman which he ordered a long time ago, but for which there was a long waiting list.
Tony returns to Francis bedroom to try and recover his missing cufflink. Unable to find it, he realises that Kristen must have grabbed it. Meanwhile, Mike tells John and Kristen about the cufflink found in Francis hand and John decides it belongs to Tony. They confront Tony with the cufflink, and he says it must have fallen off last night when he wiped his brow. Francis regains consciousness and they asks him how the cufflink wound up in his hand, but he is unable to tell them anything. Kristen is annoyed when John goes to speak to Marlena instaed of her, while Tony goes down to the hospital basement to stop the flow of oxygen to Francis room.
Jennifer and Peter tell Jack theyre going to Aremid today, thwarting his plan to spend as much time with Jennifer and Abby before the wedding as he can in order to bring back memories. Hope tells Jennifer she thinks shes still in love with Jack. She admits there is part of her which will always love Jack, but its over. Sarah tells Jack she showed Jennifer the poem, before leaving for Aremid with Jennifer and Peter.
In Aremid, the Lady in White cries over the picture of Jennifer, Jack and Abby and scribbles all over Jennifers face with a pen. Meanwhile, Jack and Hope watch the videotape of the Aremid graveyard and Hope advises that Jack take the tape to the sound engineers at the station to see if it is a woman crying on the tape.

Marlena does not understand Johns concern about the DiMeras. She is ecstatic when Stefano gets up out of his wheelchair and takes a few steps. He thanks Marlena by kissing her hand just as John enters.
Tony tries to sow the seeds of doubt in Kristens mind about John and Marlena. Francis goes into cardiac arrest but they manage to save him. However, he is in a severe coma and there is little chance that he will come out of it.
Jennifer is disturbed by the warnings of the Parrot Man. She is convinced that there is fear in the town and that Jack is not the one responsible for instilling it in the locals. Peter takes Jennifer for a walk around Aremid so she can see theres nothing sinister about the place. He leaves Jennifer alone in the Blake house while he gets some dinner for them both. She falls asleep and the Lady in White appears, hovering over her prone form.
At the televison studio, the engineers are clearly able to distinguish a woman crying on the tape. Arnie the manager considers this to be the biggest story of the century. Its too good to pass up on and wants Jack to go to Aremid to cover the ghost story and the wedding.

The Lady in White tries to strangle Jennifer. Sarah and Peter arrive back at the house and run upstairs when they hear Jennifer scream for help. Jack arrives outside and is not far behind. He and Peter barrel the door open and Jennifer tells them that the Lady in White was there and was trying to kill her. Peter says she must have been dreaming, but she insists she was real. She is annoyed find Jack back in Aremid. He explains hes on assignment for the show, and she agrees to let him snoop around as long as he stays out of their wedding plans. Later, she finds bruises on her neck.
Kristen and John arrive outside Marlenas apartment in time to hear John threatening to kill Stefano if he hurts Marlena. Tony uses this to try and instill some doubt in Kristens mind about John and Marlenas relationship. John and Marlena argue ferociously and John says he loves Marlena. Tony and Kristen are let in by Stefano. They report on Father Francis coma and John accuses Tony again of being responsible for the priests heart attack. Stefano packs his bags but marlena tells him she doesnt want him to go as hes not completely well yet, and she needs to be fulfilled by helping him recover. Stefano hopes that when the time does come for him to leave, Marlena asks him to stay because she wants him to, not because she feels obligated to him. Marlena wonders why she keeps insisting he stay.

Jennifer is convinced the attack was real and not a nightmare. She shows the marks on her neck to Peter. He thinks she made the marks herself when she tried to get the imaginary hands away from her throat.
At the pub, the Parrot Man says the Lady in White is responsible for all thats bad and wrong in Aremid. He goes on to say that the Lady in White first appeared in the winter of 83, but it could have been 1783 for all he knows. Jennifer prevents Jack and Peter from getting into a fight and later, she finds herself thinking of Jack. Sarah enters the pub claiming to have been attacked by the Lady in White. Jennifer and Peter agree to go with Jack to find the Lady in White so they can prove that its a hoax. The Parrot man thinks that the Lady is angry and that someone will be hurt tonight. They split up, and it is not long before Jack and Peter hear Jennifer scream and the Parrot Man appears, saying the Lady has taken Jennifer.
Carrie tells Hope about her promise to God to give up Austin if He let the baby live. They implore each other to try again with Austin and Bo respectively. Meanwhile, Austin tells Bo about how Carrie is pushing him away because she thinks he should be with Sami. He implores Bo to do as Billie asked and explore his feelings for Hope. He says he understands why hes reluctant to do so as he may realise that hes still in love with Hope. Until he confronts his past, though, everyones future is in limbo. Later, Carrie and Austin run into each other on the pier and decide to help Bo and Hope get back together by sending them both to get Shawn-Douglas school project from the north shore. Indeed, they end up on the island together.

Marlena considers that it would be better for everyone if Stefano did not regain his memory. They visit Tony as he is about to test out the device he has built which will kill him, but he accidentally leaves the remote control mechanism, which is disguised as a pen, on the floor. Stefano tells Tony he has decided not to try and regain his memory. Marlena takes a walk in the garden and calls John on her phone. He is unimpressed to hear shes at Tonys, so she hangs up on him. Kristen wont let John go over there. Stefano finds the remote control on the floor.
Maggie and Mike tell Laura they dont think Jack will be able to move on when Jennifer and Peter are married. Laura hopes Jack will move on with her. In Aremid, the Parrot Man and Sarah both insist that the Lady in White has Jennifer. Peter refuses to believe there is a Lady in White, and Jack just wants to find Jennifer. She isnt at the pub, so Peter calls the police. When they arrive, Peter fills them in, while Jack and Sarah find blood on the ground. It turns out a hunter has just shot a deer and dragged it through the clearing, so the blood is considered to belong to it. Laura calls Peter and he tells her that Jennifer has gone missing. She and Mike head to Aremid to join in the search. When the cops decide that Jennifer may have been a bride with cold feet, they give up the search and Jack, Peter and Sarah are left to their own devices until Mike and Laura arrive. Laura is hysterical and Jack comforts her. They discuss their affair and thank God that no one knows about it. Peter overhears the end of it and asks Jack what affair he is talking about. Meanwhile, Jennifer is unconscious in a cave with the Lady in White hovering over her. She briefly regains consciousness and thinks about the time she and Jack were caught in the cave in the blizzard. She wants Jack to come and rescue her again. Then, the Lady in White raises a rock above Jennifers head...
