Hope admits to Bo that she has not yet come up with a way to get out of stripping at the Blue Moon. He is still determined to have her reassigned, but Abe tells him that Hope is making clear inroads in the case and that he has to figure out why he’s being so overprotective of her.

Hope meets Tiffany, a stripper at the Blue Moon who Jude has asked to show her the ropes. She is not forthcoming with any information, though she warns her about the special customers who pay through the nose for extra attention and who not only like to look, but also touch. Jude also is not willing to part with any information about these customers, but he plans on getting more intimate with her later on. The time comes for her to go onstage, and she is quite a hit with the crowd.

Francis is horrified as it appears that Tony’s plan is working when John goes ballistic at Stefano. Stefano tells them all that he did not arrange the party and Tony admits that he did. He apologises for offending anyone, but Marlena thanks him. John is sure Tony is up to something, though, and demands to know what it is. Tony denies John’s accusations and Francis must stand by with his mouth shut. Marlena tells John he’s being silly, while Tony tells Kristen he didn’t realise how much rage John had towards the DiMeras and that he probably should have thought twice before arranging the party. Later, Francis is horrified at how well Tony’s plan is coming together when Tony shows him that he has John’s gun, and tells him that he will tell John everything. Meanwhile, Kristen tells John that his behaviour frightened her and criticises him for not even trying to give Stefano another chance.

Sarah has disappeared again, and Peter thinks Jack told her to leave. He tells Jack that he thinks Sarah is in love with him, but Jack is not so sure about this. Sarah, in the meantime, has managed to get herself a job at the Blue Moon.

Hope becomes overwhelmed by the crowd and runs off stage. She explains to Jude that she was distracted by him. Then, Sarah is brought in, unaware that she’s been employed to strip. Jack manages to track her to the club, having seen the man who got her the job wearing her scarf, but they will not let him in. He threatens to go to the police if he can’t see Sarah, so they take him backstage where Jude is surprised to hear that he knows Hope. They manage to explain their acquaintance away and Hope implores Jack to get her and Sarah out as she’s in the middle of a police operation. She agrees to go onstage again so Sarah doesn’t have to. Thankfully, Bo has arrived and he starts a brawl in the crowd and Hope is ushered offstage again. In the ensuing mayhem, Jack and Sarah make good their escape and they return home to an amazed Jennifer and Peter. Hope thanks Bo for starting the fight, but Bo still insists that she should leave the case. She insists she can take care of herself.

Peter meets Jude at the Blue Moon. He makes certain that no one will ever find out about the connection they apparently have.

Kristen, John and Tony all go the play cast party, where Francis has given the kids the idea to perform the scene from "Hamlet" where Hamlet talks about exposing a murder plot. The priest implores John to listen to the words of the dialogue as they have much meaning. Tony points out to Francis that John doesn’t understand what he’s getting at, but Francis insists that John will get his next message, or the next. Realising that the old man will not give up, Tony realises he must go to extremes, and when the priest has gone to bed, he enters his bedroom wielding a syringe...

Sami accuses Vivian of arranging for Carrie and Austin to be together at Green Mountain Lodge and tells her she can’t wait to tell Victor. Vivian reminds her and Lucas that Victor actually wants them to be together and they all end up agreeing to declare a mutual pact of non-aggression so they can all get on with their plots without anyone exposing them. Later, Lucas is surprised to find Sami checking herself out of the hospital to go and stay with Austin.

Austin wants to know what made Carrie change her mind about getting back together with him. He goes over to her apartment and peels his shirt off. This achieves nothing and Sami arrives outside the apartment and sees them in an embrace through the open door.

Ivan convinces Victor that Phillip needs a maternal influence in his life.

Disturbed by Francis’ cryptic warnings, John goes to visit him to find out what’s going on. By the time he arrives, Tony has denied him his medication and he has had a heart attack. Tony, relieved that he didn’t have to inject the insulin to end the old man’s threat, is hidden in the bathroom as John and Father Jansen find the unconscious Francis. He manages to avoid detection as the paramedics arrive and makes good his escape. John calls Kristen, and they meet at the hospital. John tells Kristen to prepare for the worst. While the doctors work on him, Francis is anxious and asks for John. He breathes Tony’s name...

Lucas tells Caroline that he blames Austin for all the misfortunes that have befallen both Carrie and Sami. Caroline realises he’s still in love with Carrie. Victor and Carrie arrive on the pier and Lucas offers to walk Carrie home. She tells him about Austin’s visit that evening, and he suggests that they continue pretending to date each other so it at least appears that she’s trying to get over Austin. Back on the pier, Caroline tells Victor that he will find a special woman who cares for him one day. Later, Vivian and Ivan arrive at Victor’s house with gifts for Phillip. They are shocked to find that Victor has taken Ivan’s advice and enlisted the help of Caroline to look after his son. Victor suggests that Vivian come back another time to see Phillip and she vows to get rid of Caroline if she has to.

Carrie sends Austin to go and have dinner with Sami. He tells Sami what happened between him and Carrie at Green Mountain Lodge and about Carrie’s change of heart. He asks Sami to try and convince Carrie that she should be with him. Sami suggests that Carrie is involved with Lucas, but Austin is not having any of this. Sami tells him that they should sit down with Carrie and discuss things and she’ll persuade Carrie to get back with Austin. She says she’s sure it will work, unless she’s with someone else now. While Austin goes to get dinner, Sami calls Lucas and tells her to take Carrie back to her apartment, put on some music and dance with her. While they are on their way, Sami fixes the lights and lamps in Carrie’s apartment so they won’t work. Carrie and Lucas arrive and light candles. Lucas plays a CD, which is Carrie and Austin’s song, and persuades Carrie to dance. Austin discovers the scene. Carrie tells him she’s with Lucas now and shuts the door on him.

Francis does not have the strength to tell John and Kristen anything. Tony is annoyed to hear from Kristen that the priest is still alive and that he’s desperately trying to communicate some information to them. John and Kristen asks Francis to tell them the name of the person who’s got him so upset. He says Tony, who arrives and claims that Francis was calling out to a friend. He stays with the old man and reproduces his syringe while John and Kristen go to hear the results of his tests. A nurse arrives before Tony can inject the drug into the IV. John tells Kristen he doesn’t know what he’ll do if he finds that Tony is responsible for Father Francis’ condition. They leave, and a nurse finds a cufflink in the priest’s hand. Tony is horrified to find he is missing one.
