They sensed they were being watched...) Jennifer and Peter find the words "Go home" written on one of the walls inside the house. Austin has bought Sami a baby book which he tells her they can work on compiling together.

Stefano is sorry to learn that Marlena has still not heard back from Sami. He is determined to walk again so he can show Marlena that she hasn’t failed him.

Marlena explains to Carrie that she’s helping Stefano with his physical therapy. Carrie tells Marlena about the antics at the abortion clinic. Later at the pub, Sami tells Marlena that she loves Austin and Marlena tells her she has to let him go. Appalled at the suggestion, Sami accuses Marlena of taking Carrie’s side again. She says she didn’t plan all this just to let Austin go and then runs off. Her words intrigue Marlena. On the pier, Carrie tells Austin he has to be with Sami now and that it’s over between them.

Celeste is horrified when she learns that Jack, Jennifer and Peter are all in Aremid. She tries to come up with a way to get them all away from the place. She pays Stefano another visit at the hospital in the hope of him recalling something about Aremid, but he cannot and advises her to go to the police if there is any trouble or danger. He hopes he doesn’t get his memory back because it seems to him that he was a horrible man. She is dismayed that Marlena is the reason for Stefano wanting to start his life anew.

Stefano calls for Marlena and she is amazed when he manages to stand on his own.

He tells her he was simply checking the place out, and though she’s not sure Jack is actually behind all the strange goings-on, Jennifer asks him to leave. Jack wonders who did start the fire...

Jack records some footage of the Blake house on his video recorder. Jennifer is annoyed to find him and in order to prove to him that there is nothing mysterious going on she agrees to help him search the house from top to bottom. Jennifer finds a painting of a lady in white (indeed, it is the Lady in White who is watching them while they search). Jennifer decides that her wedding dress will be modelled on the one in the painting which she considers to be beautiful. They take it to the pub and hide it so Peter doesn’t see it. Jennifer then suggests that Jack return to Salem. She goes upstairs to find Peter arranging a romantic dinner. Jennifer is forced to spoil her surprise when Peter mentions the portait of the Lady in White, and worried that Jack will do something to the picture, he insists on bringing it upstairs to their room. However, when they go to get it, it is gone.

Jack, in the meantime, heads to the Aremid graveyard in the hope of turning up something about the Blake family. When he gets there, he thinks someone is watching him. While he searches the graveyard, we see the Lady in White’s lace-gloved hand raise a knife over the portrait, ready to slash it...

Tony rigs the tank in which John will perform his death-defying trick on Titan’s Night of Magic, much to the continued disbelief of Charles.

Sure that Tony will not sign the annulment papers Mickey has just brought around to them, Kristen and John go to see him at the DiMera mansion. He is not home, and when the phone rings, Kristen answers it. It is Peter, and Tony enters as Kristen tells him that she and John are going to have a wonderful life together. Peter tells Kristen about how Aremid has gone to the dogs since they were there last. She realises Tony is home and ends the call. She and John are surprised when he readily agrees to sign the papers. After they depart, he tells Charles that John will be dead before the annulment goes through. Indeed, he returns to the Penthouse Grill to ensure that the water chamber has been sufficiently sabotaged to ensure John’s death.

Celeste is dismayed to learn that Lexie is digging into her past again. Lexie realises that Celeste is following her and confronts her. Celeste denies everything that Lexie accuses her of and tells her that she would rather have Lexie hate her than for her to find out the truth. Celeste laments the existence of Aremid.
