Billie has run up to Green Mountain, where she removes her wedding ring. Bo finds her and tells her he doesn’t give a damn about the law. In his heart, Billie is his wife. They recite their vows in front of God and Billie’s ring is replaced on her finger.

Alice encourages Hope to fight for her family and reassures her that Bo will know exactly which choice to make when she regains her memory. Hope is more determined to win her family back when Shawn-Douglas tells her he sometimes wishes things could be the way they were.

Celeste finds Mac drowning his sorrows. He tells her there was an accident and that Kristen is probably dead. Jack arrives on the pier and is annoyed to find no one there to meet him. However, he finds Kristen’s purse on the ground and dives in the water to save her. He calls the DiMera mansion and tells Tony of the accident. He, Peter and Jennifer all rush to the hospital. Jennifer is very grateful to Jack for saving Kristen’s life and they all learn that she is out of the woods and resting comfortably. Kristen has no recollection of events, but she now sees how precious life is and has decided she loves John and wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Tony hopes the ordeal will bring him and Kristen closer together, and the doctor asks that he be present for Kristen’s test results as something has come up which could be serious. Jack overhears some nurses talking about the strict safety precautions on the pier and realises there is no way the cargo could have fallen on its own. He heads back to the pier, where the police are investigating and have indeed concluded that it wasn’t an accident. Jack considers that if it was a trap, was it meant for him to warn him away from Aremid? Back at the hospital, Peter tells Jennifer that once they know Kristen is alright, they’re going on a romantic getaway - to Aremid.

"Oh, how convenient for you! Anytime you do something wrong you can blame it on the devil, but when I screw up it’s because I’m a slut and a liar!" - Sami

Kristen learns that she has only a limited time to have children, and that the longer she waits to do so, the less chance there is that she’ll be successful. When Kristen rejects his idea that this news is a sign they should be together, Tony vows to kill John before she can have his child. Later, Tony tells Stefano he is responsible for his suffering and accuses him of faking his amnesia. Kristen calls John, who is winding things up with the Bishop, and tells him to hurry home. Tony hears her tell John that she can’t wait to be with him. He picks up a newspaper and finds a way to kill John without implicating himself (we don’t see what it is).

Lucas asks Carrie if she thinks Lynn would be interested in a job in Titan’s medical publishing division. He has created this position so he can have Lynn relocated out of town, where she won’t pose a threat to Sami’s plan. Later, Carrie is surprised by a visit from Austin. He kisses her, but Lucas arrives and evacuates him from the premises.

Caroline tells Marlena she can’t help but feel sorry for Austin, who has just asked for Marlena’s help in getting Carrie back, because she’s not so sure Sami’s all that innocent, and that she thinks that Sami planning this whole situation is a real possibility. Later at the hospital, Marlena hears Sami tell Jamie that sooner or later Austin will ask her to marry him and asks to have a word with her. Sami blames Marlena for her pursuit of Austin. Marlena realises she was possessed when she told Sami what to do and is horrified that she offered such destructive advice. Sami tells her she wants nothing to do with her and that she plans to care for her child, unlike her. Later, fresh from his conversation with Tony, Stefano talks to Marlena and suggests that perhaps they have more in common than they realised.

Lynn, on a couple of occasions, makes a point of becoming freinds with Carrie and states that if she finds out who Austin’s other woman was she’s gonna let her have it and that hanging is too good for the tramp.

Jack heads to Aremid, sure that he will find clues to Peter’s past which will prevent Jennifer from marrying him. He calls Alice on his way there and tells her what he’s up to and asks her not to tell Jennifer and Peter where he is. Meanwhile, in Salem, Peter gives Jennifer a brooch which belonged to his mother. Alice arrives and they tell her they’re flying to Aremid. She unsuccessfully attempts to persuade them to drive there tomorrow instead and when they depart, she frantically tries to get hold of Jack on his cell phone to warn him, but it is out of range.

Meanwhile, Jack gets lost, but finds an ancient roadsign obscured by overgrown bushes. He finds Aremid and the Red Dragon Inn, where he is not made to feel very welcome by the locals. He complains about the hard time he had finding the place and learns that all industry in the area shut down around twenty years ago. He arranges a room for himself and asks about the Blake house, which receives a very cold reaction indeed. All of the locals refuse to give him directions to the house, and when he goes to look in the pub’s phone boo, he finds all the pages covering ‘B’ are missing. A mysterious man with a dead parrot, the Parrot Man, seems to offer some cryptic clue, but everyone else tells him to shut up, and Jack is advised not to pay him any attention.

Across town, Peter and Jennifer arrive at the Blake house and find it to be in a bad state. Peter is very annoyed that the house has not been maintained, and a mysterious figure, the Lady in White, looks down at them from one of the upstairs windows. When they get inside, he is further angered by the fact that the electricity hasn’t been turned on, but Jennifer tells him not to worry. She persuades him to let her see the house tonight and he goes to look for some candles. Jennifer is sure she can smell perfume. She dismisses the smell as jasmine. They see a rocking chair moving of its own accord and Jennifer thinks they are not alone. They ultimately decide the floorboards are uneven and there is a draught. Meanwhile, Jack’s arrival outside the house is observed by the Lady in White.

Jonah suggests Austin retrace his steps in order to remember the night he slept with Sami. To this end, they head to the Cheatin’ Heart. Jonah is sure there must be someone who can fill in the blanks in Austin’s memory. Lynn arrives and asks Austin how he could let anything come between him and Carrie.

Austin is shaken by her accusations, and Jonah takes her aside and tells her that he can’t remember anything about the night in question. She suggests that perhaps there was a medical reason for Austin’s extreme drunkeness. She has another go at winning Jonah back, which is unsuccessful, but she vows she’s not giving up yet. Jonah calls Wendy, who is at the Kiriakis mansion with Carrie, and asks her to come down to the bar and to bring Carrie with her. When they arrive, Jonah reminds Austin he still has a chance to work things out with Carrie and plays their song on the jukebox. They both reminisce.

Carrie can’t bring herself to get rid of her wedding dress. Sami calls Lucas and arranges to meet her outside the Cheatin’ Heart. He is not happy to give up time with Carrie, but she encourages him to go out, thinking it is a girlfriend he is meeting. At the bar, Lucas tells Sami about the job he’s going to offer Lynn that she won’t be able to refuse. When he speaks to Lynn and tells her about the position, she is suspicious and sure there must be catch. She tells him she isn’t falling for it and Lucas is alarmed when she says she knows that he’s trying to get her out of town and why.

Austin leaves the Cheatin’ Heart and finds Sami outside. She fakes crying and tells him that everybody blames her for what happened.

Jack manages to get inside the Blake House just after Peter and Jennifer leave it for the pub. He decides quite rightly that there was someone in the house. He searches the house for clues and at one point thinks there’s someone in the same room as him (there is - the Lady in White). He decides to come back in the morning and leaves.

Jennifer and Peter learn from Lou, the owner of the pub, that there is another visitor in Aremid tonight, which is apparently unusual because they normally never have visitors at all. They are also told that Aremid hasn’t been a resort town for years. The clientele are shocked when Peter tells Lou his name. They go up to bed and some of the locals ask Lou why he gave Peter and Jennifer a room - he’s a Blake, and they all know what that means! Jack gets back and states there’s something bizarre about the Blake house. The Parrot Man laughs at this. Jack goes up to bed, and the Parrot Man sees the Lady in White walking outside the pub, but no one else does. The Parrot Man recommends they all listen to his parrot - after all, he was right the last time.

Jonah and Wendy advise Carrie not to cut Austin out of her life. Jonah tells Carrie and Wendy about his conversation with Lynn and they wonder if perhaps the alcohol intensified his depression at the time. Meanwhile, Austin tells Sami he’ll never love anyone like he loves Carrie, though she tries to persuade him otherwise. Later, the barman tells Austin that Sami was with him at the Cheatin’ Heart on the night in question and Sami becomes upset and runs off because his searching for answers seems to indicate that he thinks she’s a liar.

Lucas tells Jamie about his plan to get rid of Lynn, but Jamie recommends he doesn’t push her too hard to accept his job offer as she’s suspicious enough already. Indeed, she has already accused Lucas of trying to get her out of town as a favour to Wendy. However, annoyed by Jonah’s firm commitment to Wendy, she eventually accepts the position and Lucas is ecstatic.

Jamie finds Sami and tells her to give up her crazy plan to marry Austin. Sami fears that he won’t stop asking questions about the night he slept with her until he finds out the truth. She comes up with a way to stop him searching for the truth - she calls the clinic and makes an appointment for an abortion.

Bo tells Victor that he probably is bothered by the fact that Hope is back and he’s with Billie. However, he insists that the magic he shared with Hope is gone and she is now nothing more than his son’s mother. He realises that when Hope’s memory returns, he will have to deal with it.

In the shooting gallery, Hope passes out upon shooting her gun. Unconscious, she remembers pieces of her life with Bo. By the time she comes around, her memory has been restored in full.

Jonah tells Austin he can’t let his guilt about Sami push him away from Carrie. Meanwhile, Carrie tells Caroline that she can’t imagine ever forgiving Austin. Caroline tells her she should tell Austin she still loves him - it’s how she feels and he needs to know. However, Carrie thinks she’s done the only thing possible by breaking up. Austin tells Billie he’s determined to look after Sami’s baby as if it were his and Carrie’s.

Sami blackmails Jamie by saying she’ll really go through with the abortion if she doesn’t help her with her plan. With Sami having signed the consent form at the clinic, Jamie must now find Austin to tell him what Sami’s about to do. This is not easy, and Sami begins to get nervous when there is no sign of him coming to stop her. When Jamie eventually finds him, he races off to the clinic but his car breaks down on the way. Carrie finds the address of the clinic on Sami’s bedroom table, but when she calls there, it is engaged. Jamie arrives and tells Carrie not to call the number, but she runs off before Carrie can learn anything. She tries the number again and learns that the clinic is a family planning clinic. She hurries there. Time is running out as Sami’s sedative takes effect and she is unable to stop the doctors as the procedure commences...
