Jack comes across them and asks Laura to sneak him into the police station so he can take a photo of Stefano. He is sure the ring on the video is his. She reluctantly agrees when Jack tells her of her daughter’s engagement to Peter. Laura meets with Stefano and Jack gets his picture. However, Stefano realises he’s been photographed, and in any case, they are too blurry to make anything out.

Stefano tells Billie and Gina that no matter what he tells them, Bo will tell them he’s lying. Nevertheless, he goes on to relate the story of how he came to hear of a woman who had been brought into the hospital in New Orleans. When he first saw her, she was covered in bandages. Her injuries could have been caused by fire or acid. Ultimately he tells them that he doesn’t know for sure who Gina is. He denies any knowledge of Celeste implanting memories into Gina’s mind, but tells them that he came across Gina on July 30, 1990 which was several weeks after not only her accident, but also that of Hope Williams Brady.

Gina tells Bo and Billie she’s going to New Orleans. Billie tells Bo she wants him to go with Gina. She eats a fortune cookie and the fortune within reads "The generous man must also be wise - giving too much may bring regret." She heads on over to the Kiriakis mansion and overhears Vivian and Ivan talking about Kate and becomes suspicious. Later, whilst packing up Kate’s things, Billie is confronted by an irate Lucas, who has been influenced in his attack by Vivian.

In New Orleans, Bo and Gina meet Bobby Lee, an orderly at the hospital Gina was brought to. He’s not helpful or, indeed, honest - he’s got a locker full of stolen possessions, including a bracelet belonging to Gina which is the key to her identity.

In Los Angeles, Emily checks out of her hotel room. She meets up with Carrie and Austin (now being played by Austin Peck) at Bea’s diner and tells them she has a lead on Tyrone. Carrie has an idea - she’ll dress up as a prostitute and lure Tyrone in. Austin forbids her to go through with it.

He overhears them talking about Carrie’s plan and he goes out and finds her. They talk about Sami and Tyrone pulls a knife on her. Jennifer and Kristen go to the boat to cheer Billie up. Later they offer to help Billie with her eulogy for Kate’s memorial service. They watch "From Here to Eternity" and this puts Billie in a sad mood.

Bo and Gina learn from Dr Harper that he was called in to consult on Gina’s case, but because he was more experienced he took over. He was given ‘guidance’ from an unknown benefactor about Gina’s appearence before the accident, which, according to Dr Harper, was similar to her current appearance. The injuries occurred a week to ten days before she was brought in to the hospital, and were probably caused by fire or acid.

Meanwhile, a nurse from the hospital, Janie, tells Bobby Lee that she wants the money he owes her tonight. He will have to sell the stolen jewellery, which includes the bracelet which holds the secret of Gina’s identity.

That night, Gina and Bo have dinner at a romantic restaurant. Bo gets Gina to buy a souvenir for Shawn-Douglas while he goes outside and calls Billie. She tries on a bracelet and has a strange feeling.

Outside the restaurant, Bobby Lee is trying to sell the bracelet. Janie interrupts and tells Bobby Lee he better have the money or else. She heads inside to find Bo and Gina. Gina knows that if she stays any longer in New Orleans, she may lose her place in class at the academy. She and Bo get a message from Janie - if they want to know who Gina really is, they should stay in New Orleans. The answer is here. They try to find out who the note is from but with no luck. Bo insists that Gina return to Salem while he stays to find out the truth. Billie is upset when he calls and tells her he’s cancelled his flight. Just as Bobby Lee looks like having the bracelet sold, Gina leaves the restaurant and he cancels the transaction.
