Oberslaught

Description: Oberslaught has three forms. One is his humanoid form, which is the one he typically manifests in. In this form he appears as a 12-foot tall giant clad in armor of red, gold, purple, and blue. His face is shadowed, so that only his eyes, which are entirely red, can be seen.

His second form is his monstrous form, in which he is roughly the same as his humanoid form, except that he is wider, hunchbacked, and his face is visible- blue-silver, with glowing red eyes, and large fangs. He also has oversized and clawed hands and feet.

His third form is his energy form, a form he can only assume upon the destruction of his physical body he appears as a cloud or sphere of scarlet energy.

Abilities: Oberslaught is incredibly powerful, possessing the magnetic powers of Eric Magnatos, the mental powers of Halcyon Xavier, and the magical power of Lord Oberon. As such, he is capable of doing almost anything. However, he needs a physical body, and he is especially vulnerable in his energy form for that reason. In that form, he can be manipulated like any energy. His body can be destroyed, although it takes a titanic amount of power to do so.

Likes: Power, conquest, chaos, and destruction.

Dislikes: Weaklings, anyone who stands in his way.

Personality: He can act pleasant and calm enough, but Oberslaught is truly a hateful being that would like nothing better to destroy everything around him.

Origin: Oberslaught was created during the 'Fatal Gatherings' crisis when Eric Magnatos and Halcyon Xavier pitted their combined might mercilessly against Lord Oberon. Their three energies somehow combined into a being which took refuge inside Xavier's mind, slowly gaining power.

Some months later, Oberslaught revealed himself to Elisa Grey in an attempt to convince her to join him. She bluntly refused.

He assembled an army, including the rogue fae Anubucaust, and the alternate- reality refugee Dark Manhattan, and took control of the Quarry-Sentinels. Oberslaught separated himself from Xavier's body, and offered the X-Gargoyles a chance to join him. They refused, so he nearly killed them.

He used the Quarry-Sentinels to take over New York City and defend it against invaders. He planned to first conquer, then to destroy the world. Fortunately, he was defeated by the X-Gargoyles, as well as other heroes, in what was later termed the Oberslaught Wars. Oberslaught was seemingly destroyed, his body annihilated and his energies dispersed. In the wake of his 'destruction,' a portal to another dimension was opened, which Magnatos, and later Oberslaught himself would use.

In reality, Oberslaught survived, and slowly reconstructed himself. He is currently journeying between dimensions, trying to gain allies in another planned offensive against his home dimension.
