Age: 41
Description: Over 6' tall, and built like a football player. He has white hair in a ponytail, a beard and moustache of the same color, and blue eyes. He normally dresses in expensive clothes, like Armani suits, of dark colors. He usually acts like a pleasant sort, and wears a smile (sometimes a smirk) much of the time.
Abilities: Magnatos has the ability, although he uses it sparingly, to manipulate the magnetic fields in the local area, allowing him to levitate, throw blasts of electromagnetic energy, create electromagnetic force fields, manipulate nearby ferrous (magnetic) metals, and so on. He is also very clever and charming. (At least HE thinks so, anyway.)
Equipment: Magnatos has vast resources at his disposal as the owner of Magnatos Enterprises. Typically, however, he carries a simple ME-4 Handheld Particle Beam Weapon, and when he is in the Station 8 Gargoyles Chat Room, his digital wristwatch, which is also the device that recalls him to his native reality. He also has his Sentinel Clan Exo-Armor, a robotic suit that resembles his Sentinel Clan Robots. It enhances his magnetic abilities, and has various computing, targeting, and scanning systems in its helmet. Further, the suit makes him 10 times stronger, has flight capability, particle beam blasters concealed in its forearm (which can be enhanced by Magnatos's magnetic powers), and claws and talons that can rend steel.
Likes: His family, including his son Alexander and his wife Fox, wealth and power, being in control of things, loyalty, and trickery.
Dislikes: Anyone who would harm his family or betray him, and not being in control of things or knowing what is going on.
Personality: He considers himself something of a trickster, yet is bound by his word of honor. He acts friendly and nice enough, but is truly plotting and scheming, and trying to make connections with valuable allies.
Origin: Eric Magnatos was born on Earth-Amalgam-GX (MOA designation), and is the founder and owner of Magnatos Enterprises, a multi-billion-dollar corporation. He made an alliance with the immortal cyborg Lady Demonstrike, and was convinced to lift Castle Wyvern, from Scotland, on top of his Aerie Building, so that it would have risen above the clouds and release the six ensorcelled members of the clan who were frozen in stone until that requirement was fulfilled. However, nobody was expecting the spell to have the unusual side effect of giving four of the six unusual 'mutant' abilities. Magnatos, as well as Lady Demonstrike, who concealed her cybernetic nature, tried to use Titan, the clan's leader, and the rest of his clan to 'retrieve' 3 disks of information from the corporation Cyberbiotics, which they did. But their new human friend, Elisa Grey, managed to reveal Magnatos's deception, although not before Magnatos and Demonstrike could bring online Magnatos's robot gargoyles, the Sentinel Clan. With the help of Elisa, whose latent mutant mental powers were revealed, and their new powers, the clan defeated Magnatos, who was sent to prison, and Demonstrike, who was believed dead.
By the time Magnatos was free of prison, the X-Gargoyles, as they called themselves now since they were no longer truly just gargoyles, had moved to the protection of Cyberbiotics CEO Halcyon Xavier. Magnatos pursued a number of schemes to bedevil the X-Gargoyles, but he was defeated every time. Later on, Magnatos married Fox, the former leader of the mercenary team known as the Pack. They conceived a child, Alexander, who was nearly stolen from him by the fae Lord Oberon. After the X-Gargoyles helped defeat Oberon, Magnatos gave his word that he would try to make amends. He has been an ally of the X-Gargoyles ever since.
Recently, the being called Oberslaught, created from the energies of Magnatos, Xavier, and Oberon, nearly destroyed the world, causing a rift in the interdimensional fabric that Magnatos has used to explore nearby realities, hoping to discover valuable resources in other worlds.
