Rowen Found Sage?
Sai woke to the sound of a yelp coming from behind a grove of trees.
"Rowen?" Sai mumbled. Suddenly at full awareness Sai yelled." Guys wake
up I think I hear something!"
"Huh?" Blinked Kento.
"Geese, Sai, don't so that!" Said Ryo.
" I think I heard Rowan!" Sai hissed.
Kento glanced over at Sage's crumpled sleeping bag.
"Sage, up!" Kento said.
There was no reply.
"Sage Date! I'll get the water bucket" Threatened Sai.
Startled at the absence of response Ryo walked over and nudged the
sleeping bag with his foot. He found no resistance. He opened the
sleeping bag, feeling suddenly frantic.
"Um, guys, Sage isn't here!" Ryo said, guilt and fear rising.
" What do ya mean Sage isn't there?" asked Sai.
"He's gotta be there, where else would he be?" Grumped kento.
Realization washed over Sai. That noise could have been Sage, he
thought, the noise was in the direction of the river. Suppose he...
Sai abruptly got up and headed for the river, beyond the grove of trees.
"I heard a noise in the direction of the river. I think it coulda been
Sage or Rowen." Stammered Sai.
" Lets go check it out!" Said Kento.
" Everyone be careful. Watch out for shadow things too. It could be a
trap" Said Ryo, being the ever duitiful leader.
" Since when do shadow water gatherers lay traps?" Asked Sai softly.
Then they reached the river. To thier surprise a figure was scanning
the river, obviosly looking for something.
" Hey you over there! Who are ya!" Shouted Kento.
" Who are you?" Retorted what-ever it was.
"Kento! NOw answer me!" Replied Kento.
" Kento, is it really you?! It's me Rowen!" Rowen said.
"Rowen?" Said Ryo" What are you doing down here?
" I heard this sound, like someone yelling so I came to investigate"
Said Rowen, walking over to meet his friends.
"You mean that wasn't you?" Asked Sai.
Rowen shook his head" Wasn't that you guys? And Where's Sage?" Asked
Rowen.
"Sage!" Said Ryo.
" What about him?" Tensed Rowen.
" We heard the noise and woke up, but Sage wasn't with us!" Said Sai.
" You mean?"
" Everyone scan the area! Sage has got to be here somewhere!" Ryo
practically yelled.
Everyone started searching along the banks, but sage wasn't found.
" I'm gonna put my armor on and check that river." Said Sai.
" Ihope he didn't fall in there" Shuddered Rowen.
" Me too." Siad Ryo, who was as guilty as ever.
Sai donned his mystical armor and searched the entire river, while the
others continued along the shore.
It wasn't too long before Sai saw tattered cloth caught on a rock that
was just below the surface. Sai raced to it and redemed the fabric. He
surfaced and yelled to the others" Look, it's Sage's Jamma Shirt"
Sai swam swiftly to shore, and once on dry land they examined what was
in the pocket. His Kanji Ball, a comb, a $10 bill, Sage's I.D., and his
whistle.
" Sage has just gotta be okay" Said Kento.
