Jim Byrnes Concert

Jim Byrnes Concert
9:30 pm

After changing I headed down to the Concert with Bliss and Mistress Wanderer. The back of the room was filled with tables and chairs, the front with rows of chairs, and the very front had the dance floor. We all sat down and after a moment they announced where drinks were being served and that Joe's coasters came with all drinks. Only a short intro later and out came the band!

I sat (ha! If you call taping your foot and dancing in your chair sitting!) through the first three songs and then decided I had to head up to the dance floor. The music was son incredible, and I love to dance so it really was perfect.

After a few songs of being in the middle, Bliss and I decided to head over to an edge (the left edge if you were facing the stage). We kind of danced our way over there right as a slow song hit. I have no guy to dance with(Lemner, you missed your call!), but I'm just sitting there moving to the sweet sounds of the band when I notice that there's one couple dancing about three people away, and that couple is made up of Adrian and Alexandra!!! I just stared for a moment and then turned back to the band, but I continued to glance over there whenever I had the chance. They look so good together, and it made me feel like just for a moment I was in the HL universe and they were Duncan and Tessa. They talked and smiled a lot while they danced. It was just too perfect.

After the song finished I didn't get to see more than a glimpse of Adrian, but I did see Grayson and Anthony De Longis out on the dance floor more than once. A few songs after that Jim announced that there was someone coming to join him and Roger Daltry took the stage!!

At this point in time I'm only three people back from the stage, right in front of the keyboard (which Jim was sitting next to). I kept sitting there bewildered, never would I have guessed that in my lifetime I would be that close to a performance by the lead singer of The Who!!! Roger sang two numbers, and man those two together are something else! Roger even picked up a guitar for one of the numbers. The part that really brought a tear to my eye though (yes, I know, a tear in the midst of this concert seems strange, but all who've seen the last two eps will understand), is when Roger sang Stand By Me.

I was so involved in dancing, and watching Jim perform, and seeing actors out of the corner of my eye, that the time slid right on past. I danced for almost 2 = hours, and was right next to the stage when Jim left, and then came back for an encore. My ears hummed for days and my back was a bit sore, and I think my dancing shocked a few people, but yes, the 'innocent' Mang loves to move those hips! It was truly one of the best concerts of my life!!
