The Bad Guys

Bad Guy's
Anthony De Longis, Peter Hudson, Gracen, Myles Ferguson, Valentine Pelka

Wow. My mind's still giving off tiny 'bad guy' alerts in the background, but these guys are so cool. I've a definite weakness for Valentine now, he's just the neatest guy! (and the accent doesn't hurt one single bit!) These guys really had a lot of neat things to say. I almost felt bad for Myles, you could tell he felt out classed, and he didn't get as many questions. Yet, truly, you have to give kudos to a kid who can give us such a great character.

They sat in the order I gave above, Anthony had on a black polo shirt that nicely outlined his biceps and dark dress slacks. I have absolutely no recollection of Peter attire, and I think that James Horan had a dark sports jacket over a lighter shirt. Myles had a jean jacket and jeans on and Valentine had on dark glasses, a black leather coat and black pants.

{it was brought to my attention that i mispelled Grayson throughout this webpage, instead of going through the whole thing, I'm simply giving this disclaimer, if you see Gracen(like in the next line) it should by Grayson, and he is played by James Horan)

Q-Gracen: Who did your hair in the fight scene?

A: I did, just slicked it back.

Q-Myles: What are your future plans?

A: Nothing definite, but hopes for the big screen.

Q: What is something good about being the bad guy?

A-Valentine: You get a nicer, faster horse.

Gracen: Your more multifaceted.
Anthony: He questioned the degree of being 'bad' saying that life is confusing.
Myles: 'I'm just evil."
Hudson(there's one too many Peter's): To make sure that underneath he's really a good guy. Horton thought he was a good guy, that he was an angel of sorts. The issue of 'bad' comes from the hero's perspective.
Gracen: I always thought Gracen was just going through abandonment issues from Darius.

Q: If you could play any role, what would that be?

A-Gracen: Richard III
Anthony: Hannibal Lector
Myles: Curious George
Hudson: Hamlet
Valentine: Hamlet again, but I'd like to play him differently. I'm also working on a play about a boy who lives in a household of adults and has the combined intellectual capacity of them all. He's really not a nice guy, and I'd like to play him. His name is Victor.

Q: What are you going to contribute to the anthology?

A-Anthony: He's going to write some of Consone's journal entries.
Hudson: He's going to write about what it's like not to be an immortal.
Then he and Valentine began to joke(as apparently they've talked about this a bit) about Valentine's writing abilities, and that he's writing in his sleep now,. . .but has no luck at the computer. (all joking, . .I think referring to the autographs they did).

Q: What amazes you about the convention?

A-Myles: This is all new to me. I'm diggin it! I've never felt so special.
Hudson: I'm delighted with the respect and consideration given us by the fans.
Valentine: He said that he likes to go for walks and that he was afraid that with all the people he wouldn't be able to go anywhere. So he said (I'm still not sure how serious this is) that he donned a disguise and went out for a walk, and was just thinking he'd done so well, when three fans who passed him by said 'Hi Val!'

Q(asked by yours truly!): First, I'm shaking like a bat and trying not to kill the sound system with my voice and to be clear. I thanked all those that attended the dinner, and let them know that they really made me weekend by being so great. (only, I don't think it came out quite that clear) I then directed my question to Anthony and Valentine. I asked Anthony to explain what he does with the cavalry and Valentine what his riding experiences with the show were.

A-Valentine: He and Adrian wanted Kronos to have a strong spirited horse, so they asked for a stallion. The horse ended up not being what they wanted, and wasn't performing some of the moves they needed. So he and Adrian approached the horse master about getting another mount. The horse master asked Valentine if there was one he would prefer and he said "Yes,. . .how about the one you're riding." :)
That is how he rode the palomino, and he said after that he hoped on, put on a mask and went for a good gallop. He also commented on liking (and now both he and I have forgotten the name) the methods of the horse whisperer who is recently getting so much acclaim.
Anthony: He has learned to do some saber and whip maneuvers on horseback and is putting a cavalry show together that will be in Ca sometime soon. He said his trainer is an Australian (and you should hear him don that Aussie accent!), and for someone who sits to far forward his trainer just says "Sit Up!"
He talked a bit about making an ally of a 2500lb animal. He said that while doing a bit on the Sinbad show he also chose a stallion that was a bit of a handful, but after working with him for a bit and getting him used to the whip he proved to be a great mount.
Valentine came in here with another story about making an ally. Apparently when he was filming First Knight he also had a good, spirited mount named Furry. He really liked him, said he was the leader, but he just had one problem. He reacts a bit too well to the bit and gets that foam going, . . .only he would eat a bit of grass so it was green. Valentine would be sitting there drinking his coffee and talking with someone and Furry would bip his head causing a green slosh of foam to splat on his chest. (entire crowd groans at the thought) But, . . .this is not such a bad thing when the person behind you is annoying you. He learned to time it just right and *SPLAT* the guy behind him got a gob of green slime in the face (and remember they had on those helmets).

Q: What do you plan to do now?

A-Hudson: He's going to India for a film opportunity.
Anthony: He's currently choreographing an opera and writing an article on the form used in Duende.
Gracen: He's working on the stage. Currently doing a sort of Cabaret Myles: "I'm just a kid" He then expounded that he's not doing anything professional.
Valentine: He's possibly playing Angelo in a Manchester Theater (didn't catch the plays name).

Q-Valentine: Which of the four was Kronos?

A: I'd say that considering Methos is death, he'd have to be pestilence.

Q: Did you like or dis-like your characters?

A-Myles: I loved my character. "I'm a bastard, I like being evil."
Valentine: "It's so liberating to be playing someone without scruples!"
Gracen: He really liked his character, who at the time was one of the oldest immortals Duncan had fought. He chose to smile before being beheaded (I always wondered about this!) to show his acceptance of death, hoping to show in Gracen a wisdom brought through the ages.
Hudson: I grew attached to Horton, he became a very rich character.
Anthony: I loved Consone. He was a full character. I liked his flamboyance, style, arrogance-for it's really hard to feel that right all of the time. He was incomplete, he had no one. The only possibility he had was in Duncan and he cut him off so quickly. He was most complete in his art form of swordsmanship.

Q-Valentine and Hudson: Were your characters just evil? (specifically referring to how they were used in the Armageddon-Avatar triplet)

A-Peter: There was more than just evil to Horton. He played Ariman differently. Horton had purposely been shown always standing, always stiff, never moving, but they did away with that for Ariman.
Valentine: He spent an entire day with the four horseman and Adriana discussing their character motivation. They needed to be more than two dimensional. In the later episodes he became the embodiment of what was in Duncan's head.
(you know, I may start to like the A series better after those comments)

They actually ran a little over in time, but it really was such a neat session. I loved all of it (of course,. . .what haven't I loved so far?). Those guys really are fascinating.
