1592-1600

1592 December 21, Duncan is born in Glenfinnan on the shores Lock Shiel.

1606 As a young boy in Glenfinnan, Duncan and Robert try to catch a wolf in Donan Woods. The wolf attacks and Duncan defends Robert who is running away. He awakes in a cottage only to meet Cassandra.

1618 As a young man Duncan falls in love with Deborah Cambell, who is pledged to his clansman Robert, Robert challenges Duncan and is killed in the fight that ensues. Deborah is killed and Duncan buries her in an unmarked grave.

1622 October 2, Duncan is killed for the first time in a border dispute with the Cambells. He is exiled from his clan. Later in the year he finds his father who tells him of his foundling origins.

1624 Duncan hears that his father is killed and returns to the clan. He takes his fathers sword and pursues the killer only to encounter his first immortal, Kanwulf the Viking. He 'kill's' Kanwulf but doesn't take his head.

1625 Duncan has not yet found Conner and doesn't know what he is. He finds the old hermit who tells him his future and then forces Duncan to fight. The hermit is beheaded and Duncan has his first quickening.

1625 Glen Fruin, Scotland. Duncan awakes from death to feel an immortals presence. Over the bloody battlefield he see's a man's outline appear. "I am Conner MacLeod, and like you my friend, I have a hard time dying."

1630 Scotland, looking for Conner, being followed by Martin Hyde who fills his path with death.

1630's France. Duncan finds Ursa, who is being hunted by supersticious locals. He takes Ursa to Holy Ground.

1631 Ravenna, Italy. Duncan is learning to fight under Conners instruction.

1634 Duncan finds Devon Marek, son of the Duke of Wallaby. He watches him die and buries him, then recognizes that he sensed Devon was a pre-immortal. He stops Devon from reclaiming his land as Devon is 'dead'. (this is from Black Tower, and it's a great flashback, the only good thing about the episode!)

1635 September 11, Duncan has his first meeting with female immortals, Amanda & Rebecca. After Amanda steals his purse he offers to buy them a drink (and so begins their relationship).

1637 February 28, Duncan meets Fitzcairn in Verona while attempting to protect the virtue of the Doge's daughter. Unfortunately, his task was done before he began, and Fitz undermines his job. He 'kills' Fitz to defend his honor and keep Fitz's head, and leaves hoping to learn how to read.

1639 Duncan and Fitz are traveling together after protecting the Duke de Malano. While defending themselves against three swordsman a watcher is killed and Duncan gets his first look at the symbol.

1640 France. Duncan nobly shares the last room with Kyra after watching her dispatch of some rowdy men. And,. . .well,. . (it's Duncan sharing a bed with a woman, talking about swords. . .you figure it out)

1641 Southern Europe. As Duncan wanders he hears the screams of a woman and senses an immortal. He barges in only to find Grace acting as midwife.*

1653 Algiers traveling with Kamser Duncan first meets Xavier St. Cloud. When Kamser tries to avoid Xavier's challenge, Duncan seeks to fill his friends place.

1657 Southern Europe. Duncan is in training under the master Graham Ashe He hides on holy ground after Ashe is killed by Harrish Clay, and is shamed.

1658 Europe. While looking for refuge, Duncan meets Brother Paul and Kalas. He also meets Timmon who teaches him to read. He discovers Kalas fighting Timmon as he leaves sanctuary, and confronts Kalas when he returns. Brother Paul then sends Kalas away.

1659 Normandy. Duncan meets Kristen and learns of class and 'higher' life.

1662 England. Duncan tries to save Garrick from the witch hunt. Garrick turns on him and stabs him in front of the multitude. When Duncan revives he is thought a witch, and narrowly escapes being burned at the stake.

1663 England. Duncan is a Shakespearean actor with Walter Graham's Company (Kate in Taming of the Shrew). He argues over playing Kate nicer, or having a part with a sword fight, and then fights the actor he replaced.

1670 Scotland. Duncan is teaching a clan leader when challenged by Michele de Bogan.

1680 November 23, Duncan meets Kiem Sun in China.

1696 Duncan is outside Paris with Fitzcairn and Gina, at the Chateau de Valicourt. Gina convinces them to obtain some stolen goods from Rober de Valicourt, so they break in and challenge Robert, only to have Robert and Gina fall in love. Duncan and Fitz then give Gina away at her wedding.
