Richard P. Clem Test Page
Special Notice to Search Engine Visitors;
If you arrived here because you were searching for an archive of vintage television test patterns, I am very sorry, but this is not such a site.
However, I would be most interested if you are aware of any such sites. Please drop me a note to [email protected].
A kind netizen, in response to the plea shown above, forwarded the following note. There are test pattern archives!
On your webpage you expressed an interest in archived test patterns. The following sites may be of interest to you:
In the spirit of the early days of television, when one of America's favorite programs was the test pattern, here is my test page:
I am using this page to test different HTML I'm working on.
In case anyone is interested, I manually coded the HTML for most of these pages, although I'll probably break down soon and get a good HTML editor. Most of the images started out as public-domain clip art and were edited using Microsoft Imager and Paintbrush.
I don't have a scanner (yet), but when I have the occasional graphic
to scan, I can sometimes manage by using my fax machine. Here's a .gif
of my family, scanned from a photograph. When I reduce the size of the
image, the quality is degraded. So, just stand back from your monitor
and it will look OK:

I don't suppose anyone is reading this. But if you are, you probably also noticed that on my geocities.com page, I have begun work on the Pandora Homepage and FAQ project.
In order to gain access to CD cover art, and perhaps to make a few bucks in the process, I have signed up for amazon.com's associates program, which will allow me to include links through which Pandora CD's can be purchased. On the chance that a customer does so, I will receive a small commission.
Until those actual links are up and running, I will be using this page to test them.
1. Generic link to amazon.com homepage:
2. Link to Individual product:
Order The Greatest Generation Today!
: How to link to a certain amazon.com page: VERY IMPORTANT: If you copy the URL of a page from our Web site and modify it to fit the linking format above, then be sure to remove the 17-digit shopping session ID that appears at the end of the URL. Your unique Associates ID should immediately follow the ASIN number as in the example above. If you leave the 17-digit shopping session ID in your modified links, then they will not track sales properly.
Well, following these instructions, the following link should take the user to the amazon.com Pandora page, with me getting proper credit for all resulting sales. I'm already trying to figure out how to spend the money.
