GOLDENEYE (1995)
Bond is back!! And Pierce Brosnan begins to prove himself. This was the movie that got me hooked on the whole Bond thing.
A Russian terrorist group steals a satillite code-named "Goldeneye" which can send down a pulse that brings all machinery to a stop. Computers are wiped clean. The new female M (Judi Dench) sends Bond to find those responsible. He ends up going against an old friend-turned enemy and the very seductive Xenia Onatoppe, who squeazes men to death.
Bond also has a new CIA ally, Jack Wade (played by Joe Don Baker, who was the villain in The Living Daylights .
Really good. I love the chase and actions scenes and all the explosions.
Bond never uses the BMW!! Brosnan was also a little too thin, but both these things changed for...
TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997)
We all waited for this one to come out. Bond even uses the BMW this time! I wish I could do that with tires.
Elliot Carver (Jonathon Pryce), who controls newspapers, TV, and more media items is the villain. He tries to manipulate the news to his advantage and start World War III. The British Navy is reay to act against the Chinese, and Bond has to expose Carver before war breaks out.
I love the Cast of this movie. Pryce has a fun, almost mock-theatric style of playing Carver. Michelle Yeoh as Wai Lin is sexy and energetic. And Brosnan has really settled into playing Bond, and has beefed up a little more. The action in TND seems non-stop sometimes, and it doesn't run slow at all. James Bond will definately return.
