The following points are basic netiquette, regulations unique to the Ta Leoni Defense League, and based on the SPCDD (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to David Duchovny) list rules. Thank you to Gina Marie, Julie, and Kelli over at the SPCDD!
~ Any defamation of character to Ta Leoni and/or David Duchovny and/or their family. If you
want to "bash" Ta and/or David, do so elsewhere, not on our mailing list.
~ Exceedingly crude or vulgar language. There are a considerable number of minors on this list
and quite a few adults who do not appreciate this type of language. Take it elsewhere.
~ No "flaming" of others. If you disagree with someone's opinion then state so calmly and
intelligently if you wish for others to read your opinion. DO NOT "FLAME" them and/or ridicule
them.
********Repetitious violations of the following can cause a suspension from the list********
2) No chain mail or chain letters.
3) No attachments of pictures or sounds should be posted to the list directly. These should be
sent privately to list
members by their request.
4) Keep short (1 or 2 line) messages to a minimum. Avoid short responses that are "Me too" or
"I agree" comments.
Especially if the message you are replying to is not quoted within your text.
5) Off topic comments are fine to a certain point. The main focus of the mailing list *is* Ta
and also David, but any news on a
personal front that you wish to share is fine.
7) Please keep in mind that all mail sent to the TLDL Mailing List will be forwarded to the entire
mailing list. Please
do not send Administrative Requests to the list. Address them to Amy, the list moderator, at:
[email protected]
8) If you are responding to a particular person, make sure your are replying to them and not
the entire list. Check the
TO: field to ensure that their personal address is there and not the address for the entire
mailing list:[email protected]
9) Keep long copying of other messages to a minimum, unless the point is to copy an entire
message from another
source for publication on the list. This would avoid situations where several messages are
copied over and over.
10) Use of languages other than English in list correspondence is prohibited, unless messages
in foreign languages are accompanied by English translations, or
use of languages other than English does not make up the majority of the message (such as
the use of a couple expressions).
To unsubscribe via e-mail, send an empty e-mail to [email protected].
To unsubscribe via the Web, log in at www.egroups.com, and on the "My eGroups" page, check
the box next to the group from which you want to unsubscribe.
Otherwise you can send an e-mail the list moderator at:[email protected] and request that
you be removed from the list. Place "UNSUB-TLDL" in the title of your email. Give the list moderator time to process your
request.
You
can also receive mailing from this list in digest form or read it directly on the web, if you wish to
cut down the volume of e-mail that you receive. Log in at www.egroups.com, and on the "My
eGroups" page you can click on the link in the delivery-mode column (the right column labeled
"Mode"). Click on the blue link which may say "E-Mail" and then select the message delivery
mode desired. Click on 'Apply
Changes'.
Again, if everyone follows these guidelines, I'm sure the TLDL will
continue to be a great place for discussion.
THE FOLLOWING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED ON THE LIST:
