But I did have a bunch of articles from people and the latest Dawson's Creeker's Quiz from Capuletj13@aol.com, so I made here is issue #7. Issue #7b will be released tomorrow with the rest of the articles that I have from all you people. As for the summaries, I will write them as soon as I can. Where did Dawson and Jen first kiss? ********************************************************************* ARTICLES ********************************************************************* Dear Dawson lovers I have just read a letter in your newsletter about how Dawson doesn't look cute with either girl. This letter was written by a girl named Kerin who said that Dawson doesn't look good with either girl! Since when did how they look together matter! Obviously Joey and Dawson are in love with each other and they would be perfect with each other! I watch D.C twice a week with complete attention and it is totally obvious to me that Joey and Pacey would be awful together!!! Pacey hardly deserves any girl until he gets some romance pointer from Dawson or at least some points on how to respect a girl. Don't get me wrong Pacey is cute and I bet really nice in real life. I think though that Jen and Pacey would make a cute couple because she too is not all that bright or she wouldn't of broke up with Dawson then lie about the reason! What a complete idiot to break up with DAWSON (James Van der Beek) who is sweet and romantic and perfect !! Please write to me if you agree or disagree with me! If either Joey or Pacey had won that beauty contest I would have been greatly disappointed. Not that I didn't want either of them to win, it just would have been far too predictable. Also the fact that Joey didn't swoon when Dawson finally admitted some of his feelings for her scored high marks with me. I wouldn't call myself a die hard feminist, but Joey was right when she called Dawson on only liking her now that she was the stereotypical teen-model type. I want Joey and Dawson to get together just as much as everyone else, but it shouldn't be under false pretenses like last nights episode. I was also cheering when Jen got shot down; "a victory for Joey's everywhere" was a comment from my one friend who leads a life uncannily similar to that of Joey, so she would know. I have a question for all you avid viewers, though: what's going to happen with Joey's "Day of Beauty" certificates? It may seem insignificant now, but they could be used for a future date, with Dawson perhaps. I think that Dawson needs to face the facts: Jen doesn't know what she wants.. but then neither does he... and he needs to realize that he wants Joey.. more than in the way he outwardly thinks.. Jen.. needs to get rid of her whiny voice.. it drives me nuts.. but other than that, she doesn't seem that bad.. she just wants to be friends with Dawson and he are just being difficult.. I don't want Jen and Dawson back together.. I think that Jen would be better off with Cliff, if he is himself.. not some Dawson wanna be.. Pacey.. oh boy.. this is on sexy guy... he would look good with Joey.. and if Dawson doesn't figure out what he wants soon.. Joey should start liking Pacey... Jenna Streeper jstreeper@husky.sd81.bc.ca -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Insight into the mind of an "avid" watcher It is typical of a viewer to want the two most likely characters to become the perfect couple. This is how I felt when I saw the first episode of Dawson's Creek. Joey and Dawson seem to be the likely pair because they have been best of friends for the past fifteen years. There isn't anything Joey doesn't know about Dawson and vice versa. Dawson can spill his deepest and darkest secrets to Joey, well this was before they reached the brink of adulthood. Joey seems to have her mind set on Dawson and Dawson, like a fool, doesn't noticed the obvious signals Joey is sending him. Of course, who are we to say. The individuals in the situation are always the last to realize the complete and obvious truth. The script is written this way for a reason. In some way, it reflex the true nature of human relations. Plus, I don't think there will be a storyline if Dawson, a bright young man, spot the signals and come to realize his feelings toward Joey. Like some of you have pointed out, so many things have happened in just the first season that we don't know what to expect in the second season. This is the beauty of the show, it moves quickly. Some of the things that happened on the show were unexpected but clearly welcome by viewers. That is why I consider myself to be an addict of the show, because I want to see what Kevin Williams have in store for us now. Getting back to the situation between Dawson and Joey, I agree that until Dawson grows up, Joey should not waste her time and energy pursuing someone totally unaware of her affections toward him (he must have noticed something). Dawson needs to reach deep down inside of him to find the answer to the question, who does he care for more? We have seen through the last few episodes that Dawson experienced much more than a friendship towards Joey; however, Dawson is still experiencing pre-adolescent emotions. He truly believes that what he had with Jen, or still want to have, is love. He hasn't matured enough to realize the depth of the definition of love. I believe that we shouldn't get on Dawson's case because, after all, the show is about the journey into adulthood and all its obstacles and the realization of the meaning of love and friendship.
