I loved the season finale. It was kind of predictable. But it was still kewl. (It's an inside word thingy) But I bet you that Joey is probably going to France for a day or two and come back and tells Dawson that she loves him and misses him. That's my opinion though. I hope that Jen gets over it that she messed up BIG time when she broke up with Dawson. Even though Dawson didn't really like her that much. But I would definitely go out with Pacey. He is so fine and funny. Way better than that Dawson. Well that's my opinion. Email me!!! If you want to. Pacey's cute, ruthy01@juno.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dawson's Creek Fans, I absolutely loved the last episode. It was great the tension of wondering if Dawson was going to tell Joey that he had feelings for her WOW. In the end as we all know it finally worked out. Dawson and Joey belong together, without them together the show would become dry, this was a good move on the part of Kevin Williamson. I do though have to say that without Joey being played by the beautiful Katie Holmes the part would just not seem right. For those of you wondering why they didn't have Dawson and Joey get together earlier, for one it was a great cliffhanger for the end of the season and two trying to tell your best friend that you have feelings for them is a hard task at hand. I know this from experience and it does not always work out. Well to all of you out there have a nice summer and I know I can't wait till next season. fthomas22@juno.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I saw the last episode of Dawson's Creek and was impressed at how well the actors each portrayed their parts. It was basically a turning point for all of them. I know that many of you received the whole Dawson/Joey as "FINALLY!" but the fact is, that it probably won't last (mostly cause then the show would be over). I think that Joey WILL go off to Paris in order to figure things out between her and Dawson. I also (contrary to most of you) felt incredibly sorry for Jen. I don't think that she was trying to get back Dawson because she didn't want Joey to have him, I think that it was because he was the unchanging factor in her screwed up life. He was someone who was always there and who she felt she could confide in. I believe that she thought that even though her and Dawson broke up that she wouldn't lose him as a friend but when she did she wanted that confidence back and saw getting back together with him as the only way to get that (since Dawson obviously has no intention of being friends with her if he couldn't "be with" her). The reason that I the Dawson/Joey relationship won't work out is because I've been in a similar situation and its really hard to get past that "you're like my brother!" phase even if you have been in "love" for a long time. Well these are my feelings:-) SarahE@aol.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Creekers, I live in Canada but I still am lucky enough to get WB!! I love the seasons finale that kiss was just as good as the one on the breakfast club episode. It just proved that it is possible for too best friends to go out! This show is the best to me because it is just like my friend's life. She is exactly like Joey and this other girl is exactly like Jen! So far their relationship has worked just like the show! Except the two best friends aren't together or they haven't kiss! Anyway I absolutely love JAMES VANDERBEEK as an actor and his looks! I read this one magazine YM they have had them on the cover but no interview. So I have come for your help please if you read Ym write e mail to them and ask for James Van der Beek(Dawson) on a cover with an interview. The e mail address is Lesleyym@aol.com! I am begging you! By the way James Van der Beek has starred in 1995's Angus as a jock (which he was in real life he played football till an injury)He also featured in "I love you.. I love you not" with Claire Danes! Also an independent film "Harvest" If your looking for an e mail pal or you agree or disagree with me write Krista primeau @hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The night the pilot of DC aired I watched the first 10 minutes and said, buh-bye. Just another show about teenage romance. Thank goodness by accident I tuned in the next week and got totally hooked. Now I'm regretting not being able to see the pilot episode; I've been a faithful viewer ever since. That last statement is a bit difficult to admit, since my high school days are long gone. However, I find that the characters are written for a universal audience. Williamson definitely gives the actors some higher dialogue than commonly exchanged between 15 year olds, and their own personal maturity helps put the show on a level that I can relate to most of the time. Actually, the actors are not too far off from my own age, or at least van der Beek is kind of close (I'm 23, he's 21. And it helps that he's not too hard to look at, eh?) I thoroughly enjoyed the final episode, and like the way that the writers slide in those little ironies, like Dawson and Joey's conversation in the beginning about cliffhangers relating to their own lives and the fact that Joey is chosen for France because another girl won't leave her boyfriend, when in the end, Dawson, who may just be that boyfriend for her, is what, I think, will keep her in Capeside. Bravo also to the writers for constructing the character of Pacey, with his unrealized potential, low self-esteem and all, and for Jen, who while I find a bit too needy at times, is a nice piece of reality, contrasting with the picture perfect life that Dawson seems to have lived with up until now. Hey, in closing, that kiss with Joey and Dawson was just done perfectly. James van der Beek sure knows how to play the nervous teenager. You could read his whole heart just in that one kiss. If there's anyone out there who is past their high school glory days and wants to chat about DC, please write! My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts. Maybe I'm just living vicariously through these guys, wishing I could sometimes go back and do it again. alspedro@aol.com "Amy" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Creekers!!! I'd just like to say that although Dawson's Creek is the most romantic and AWESOME show on the planet sometimes it's a little unrealistic. Do you think that 15-year-olds actually have that mature of a vocabulary? I know plenty of teenagers that say dude and uhhhhh yah, yet on the show they say words so big my DAD couldn't pronounce them!!!! There are some good things about this too, though. They don't show teens as stupid ditsy kids who only think about shopping and the members of the opposite sex. This show deals with everything from forbidden love to family problems to REAL love which teenagers can actually experience. Adults think just because we're not grown ups we don't know what love is. Dawson Creek really expresses that. Don't you think???? Write me with your thoughts!!!!! xoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxxoxoxoxxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxo emu2000 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for reading: Kevin Faustino Editor of The Ultimate Dawson's Creek Page Newsletter ************************************************************************************** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -End of Issue-
