Yaphat Kotto and Andra Brauer are my overall favorite characters. Although, Isabella Hoffman(Megan) is absolutly gorgeous. I have followed Kottos' and Brauers' careers for awhile. I've enjoyed just about everthing I have seen them in. "Homacide, Life on the streets", is the most realistic detective show I have ever seen. The story lines are fantastic. In comparison to other detective drama series such as, "NY PD Blue" or "New York Undercover", they cannot hold a candlestick to "Homacid , Life on the Streets". For a guy such as myself, who does not watch much TV except for, sports, documentaries, and occasional comedies, that says a lot. I hope the series will resume someday. One last thing, I was however, disappointed in "Homacide, Life on the Streets" movie. I felt the story line was alittle weak. Why did G have to die in the end? I know after awhile actors/actress in TV series, want to move on to other things, but couldn't have survived to return in maybe another Homacide movie or series in the future? Oh well, that's Hollywood! Thank you again for a wonderful show.

Please bring Homicide, Life on the Streets back. I went to college in Baltimore and the street scenes bring back such memories. I also enjoy the way the writers combine the private and professional lives of the detectives--very realistic. Since G' death, prehaps you could develop story lines around his early life on the force may be the mid 60's--leading up to the 90's. Or, have his son to become captain, with flashbacks of G-giving him directions. That way the rest of the actors could continue in the show.

This show was not just about Homicide. It was great acting. I miss the show and the original characters terribly, especially Bayliss. I hope when the movie is shown next year Tim will be back to his old self. The bi thing was simply confusion brought on by his past child abuse, and the Zen stuff was just a way to scape, a way for Tim to hide from and keep from having to deal with the real issues at hand. This show had a powerful effect on me from day one, and with the exception of the final season, maintained a firm hold on me. I was hooked. Other shows have reached that level briefly, Twin Peaks comes to mind, but nothing had the lasting power of HOMOC DE!!! It was narcotic. I'll miss the highs and lows. Bring the damn thing back is all I can say.

I loved Homicide dearly for 5 to 6 seasons. Season 7, with it's undue focus on the horrible actors and their characters of Falsone, Ballard, Gharty, and Shepherd, was a collosal dissapointment. I hate NBC for never properly promoting the show. I have alot of disdain for Fontana, for firing Leo, hiring Seda, and Michele, and basically ruining the show the last two years. This was by far the best show to ever hit the tube. I love the team of FrankenTim. And watching the developement of Tim Bayliss was an incedible experience, what a mesmerizing character. Kyle Secor did a flawless job of bringing Bayliss to life week after week.I wonder about the future of this fictional character. I cared for him, and I felt for him. I miss him terribly, as I do the show. Thank God for Court TV. I hope there will be an H:LotS tele-movie, and that it will be worthy of the show. Hopefully, i will give us acceptable closure as to the character of Bayliss. I very much would love to see Kyle Secor and Andre Braugher back for the movie. However, I've heard rumors that neither is interested in the project. They and the show are sorely missed.

As others have eluded, I expected this. NBC never gave the show a "prime" schedule slot! Why?? This show was such a contrast to other cop shows. It had immense depth! The characters,the stories, everything was depicted in such a "real" light. Now the nly show where that can be found is Law and Order. Well, at least the show lives on in "reruns". Another network could grab it though.(Munch-belzer)has reportedly signed on for roles on Law and Order next season! The cancellation of this show gives us an dea of where television is headed. It has been almost a month since the cancellation of the greatest show on TV and I am still in shock. I can't believe that the big wigs at NBC never realized that Friday night at 10:00PM is NOT a good time for a TV drama. Well done on a great sight. Not enough pics of the gorgeous Megan though. HomicideLOTS hasn't caught on in England, mainly because it's used to fill late night tv, a bit like Married With Children used to be. I got into it late, about two series ago, a d am keeping my fingers crossed that they repeat it from the begining like the did Hill St. but I doubt it. I've signed your petition 'cause to lose it would be a bloody shame. Best cop tv ever and that includes the Hill. We actually never saw the epsis de where Megan left, the tv pulled it because there was a shooting at an infants school where loads of kiddies got killed. Friday nights will not be long and boring. I worked with David Simon at the Baltimore Sun. I read the book and cringed because I grew up in Baltimore County near the city/county line at Cooks Lane. Knowing what went on in the city made me so frightened. Homicide is an excellent show. I have told many about it. Last summer I reloated to Georgia and have never missed the show. I was excited when I learned that Andre Braugher won the Emmy. It's a shame that the network is looking to save money instead of producing quality television. I will have to write my cable system here in Georgia for the Court-TV network so I can tape Homicide. Best of luck to all involved with the series.

Don't let NBC cancel the show. It is actually the best show they have during primetime. It's not stupid fluff like nash bridges and 20/20 is just another news magazine. Homicide has great writers, stories that allow the viewer to contemplate contempora y issues. There are also superb actors worth watching. It hasn't won 3 Peabody awards without merit. NBC needs to rethink their decision to cancel and continue with a worthwhile series.

I can't believe they cancelled it! My heart is broken...There is no reason to watch TV any more, seriously. (I'm yanking out the cable...) I don't think there's any point in starting a lobbying campaign. The patient has been near death for so long; there's no point in trying, methinks. But I'm open to persuasion. However, I do hope they have the class to take the series out on a high note. What about starting a lobbying campaign to have one last blaze of glory -- say, a two night mini series? Homicide is the best cop show on TV, probably the best cop show ever! The only criticisms I have are that the talent that has been brought in is not equal to the talent that has departed. Michael Michelle appears very wooden, Giancarlo Esposito has no w ere to really go with the character. Bringing in Gee's son was to soap opera! No matter who played him it was a no win situation. The scripts have been improving since the beginning of the season, I hope it continues. I also hope that NBC renews for anot er year or more!

Really dislike the show right now. Dont know if I'll continue to watch it. Dont like the slickness. Too many pretty faces. Too many nice suits. And too much views of the crimes taking place. Please get rid Rene Sheppard, Falzone and Kellerman. Bring back Kay. Bring back Pembleton. Get rid of Giardello FBI. I like the rough edges of the first season and truly dislike the cross over episodes with Law and Order which I also tend to watch. Final note. I am very disappointed by the last number of episodes and would not miss the show now if it was cancelled. I still enjoy watching the earlier episodes in reruns.

What has happened to my favourite show. I only faithfully watch two shows on television, Homiciede and X-Files, and neither are impressing me this season. But Homicide has been especially disappointing. It seems to be turning inot NYPD Blue or some oth r cop show. What happened to the quirkiness, the raw feel, the feeling you were watching real people going through their day?! It has more action now, but what I liked about the show was that the detectives obviously arrive after the action. They didn' see what happened. I think there has been very little done with the new characters. They are flat and do not take part in the clever and wierd conversations the older ones do. They show no opinions on anything. I do not think RENE SHEPARD looks like a real detective and he writers refuse to use that to an advantage and are trying to make her tough. Hey, if she's a former beauty queen play with it. None of the original characters are what television would have us believe is typical. Have her bring brownies to work or ell Avon to the secretaries and file clerks and still be a detective. i started watching this unbelievably excellent show in croatia (where i live and work), continued to see it on lifetime in the summers. i bought the book. i'm still in season 6 here. i wanted to visit baltimore this summer (wrote to pat moran), but cou dn't get there from new jersey. anyway, i am 31 and have NEVER in my life been as obsessed with a show as this one. i have seen 78 of (so far) 84 episodes shown here in zagreb, croatia. the camera work, continuing storylines, music, character development, etc. etc. what a great show! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your site was really good.. you had quick updates (I heard you broke the Reed Diamond departure story), nice graphics and a bitchin' photo of Andre Braugher and James Earl Jones (for a great page on James Earl Jones goto www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/ 317/james.html --- that site was listed in Yahoo a long time before this one, and it has more hits...).. so I was really impressed with your site, until you sold out to CDNow.. everything has become so commercial these days, and it hurts to see something so pure turned over to the corporate conglomerates that make it difficult for my 5 year old son to walk outside our house. I am writing this in Canberra Australia. Homicide Life on the Street has ceased on Australian TV and I am mortified! Do you know if any of our networks intend doing so again in the future? This was and is the premier television show bar none. All power to the fine cast, the production crew and the excellent writers. Truly I am having constant withdrawl pains not being able to get my weekly fix of Homicide. Is there any other way I can see episodes - I haven't seen any since Frank had his breakdown. Homicide is my favorite television program because it is interesting, not only the plots but the subplots and underlying themes as well. The program continues to improve in intensity and quality with time. I cried during the season finale as it was real stic and emotional. Although I miss miss the character of Detective Mike Kellermanand Dr, Julianna Cox; the show is superb. I was disturbed that Kellerman was asked to resign but Lewis did not even get a slap on the wrist for setting gang members up to ill off each other and he was responsible for the killngs as well. It seems that Kellerman became the ultimate fall guy maybe because the Reed Diamond is leaving the show. Does anyone know if Reed Diamond is going to be doing more TV...I would love to s e him as a maverick PI or get a job as a cop on another show.

well.. i was surprised to see a Homicide webring.since ve been watching the show for 6 years. and the only episode i missed was the first one.. pitty... And since i see 3 or 4 movies a week and all, i can see a bit more quality shows. and this one. is the best. its real, the characters interact and have lives. the storyline is excelent and just THE BEST! Im a bit sad about seeing Andre Braugher leave but it had to end sometime.. kind of like the Bulls dynasty. but anyways. nice page. keep up the good work. ill maybe join the ring who knows. :)

This is one of my favorite shows. Relatively new viewer, only about 2 years of viewing. I love knowing the characters and seeing what takes place with them each week. It's like another family for me. I love the feel of the show, how the cameras are ri ht there with the action. Seems more realistic than other cop shows. I am recording the old episodes currently on Lifetime channel to see what I missed.
