A General Lack of Sleep Infests Vincent's Life
A General Lack of Sleep Infests Vincent's Life

Vincent gets three hours of sleep before Uncle Ray arrives at his place, directed by a nice waitress that works in the coffee shop where he usually gets his breakfast. Uncle Ray takes the money Vincent owes as incentive for Vincent to come with him.

While Uncle Ray informs Vincent about Emily's antics, Vincent tries to make Uncle Ray understand that he did not touch Emily in anyway. Uncle Ray shuts him up rather effectively by describing some of the things he could be doing to Vincent instead of forcing him to assist in retrieving Emily.

"Am I such a bad guy?" Uncle Ray says to Vincent when he gets on his nerves.
"Have I hurt you? Have I shot you? In the groin?"
"Are those options?"
Vincent asks, thinking perhaps that one or more of those might be preferable than having to deal with Emily T. Hope again.

They find Emily eating in a diner across the street from the motel.
Uncle Ray sits down to have a talk with her. . .

While Vincent freaks out at the possibility of being late to his drop-off.

Emily realizes that Uncle Ray's going to pin the kidnapping on Vincent so that her father and she can save face. She feels bad for what she's put Vincent through so she causes a scene to delay Uncle Ray from coming after her and drags Vincent out of the diner, protesting all the way. He wants his money, but Emily sees that Uncle Ray means business. . .

And they narrowly escape by jumping on a passing truck.

Don't even think the weekend's over yet. . .
