There's a perfectly logical explanation for the hair: Gypsy Curse!  Anyhoo, Virginia has bigger problems than split ends.  She's been captured by the Evil Queen's Huntsman, & chained up in his hollow tree house!  Not to worry!  Wolf climbs her hair, unchains her, & gives her a magic haircut.

"Don't say a WORD!"
Actually, once she gets a brush & comb, Ginny looks SUPER CUTE with short hair. J
Where's SWAMP THING when you need him?
Later, Virginia (& her Dad) get grabbed again by the Huntsman (& the Troll sibs), but they roll out of their captors' cart, untie their feet, & escape! (Hurrah!)

"Okay, we're outta the cart.  Let's go that way."
"Into the SWAMP?"
"Good plan, Dad."
"Hi, I'm Tinkerbabe.
This is my sister Daryl
& my other sister Daryl."
"Let me help you
with them chains."

"Okiedokie!  Now, go kick
some Evil Queen butt!"
Virginia does kick the Evil Queen's butt, & they leave things wide open for a sequel!
