He ran back into the van and the guys all said, "Awww..that's so sweet!" Then they started to making kissing sound and laughed. Nick blushed, "shut up!" On the plane, Nick and Brian got a chance to talk. "Everything okay with Kay?" Brian asked. "Yeah. She feels awkward around Kevin now though," Nick replied. "Kev didn't mean to. He was just worried." "I know...so where were you last night anyways?" Nick asked with a smile. "C'mon...this is when we always talk about women..you're gonna have to let it out." "Okay. I met one of my friends from high school. She's actually my neighbor back in Lexington. I would always climb to her room and hang out. She's really nice. She also has this kid who looks like me. Kyle's a good kid." "He's yours?" Nick asked with his eyes wide opened. "Tell me he's not yours." "No. I've never slept with her. At least I don't remember. But how can Kyle get all my resemblance? He even has a heart problem," Brian exclaimed. "That's just weird," Nick said. "When was the last time you saw her?" "A little over 3 years ago, back in Kentucky when we had that 2 months break. Remember?" Brian said, trying to refresh his memory. "Oh yeah. That was a really cool break. I was back in Tampa. So what happened?" Nick asked. "I don't know. One night I got into an argument with Harold so I went...OH NO!!!" Brian had thought of something. "So you went 'oh no?'" Nick looked at him strangely. "Brian...!" "Huh?" "Go on. What did you do?" "Oh. I had an argument with Harold and so I had a lot to drink that night. I got really drunk. I didn't wanted to go home so I went up into Danni's windo and..." Brian wanted to continue but he had to stop and think. "That night she told me how she felt about me. I didn't know what to do so...I kissed her, and I guess I took advantage to her that night. Oh Man! This is really messed up." "Then howcome you didn't know you slept with her when you woke up?" Nick asked, still confused. "I was on the floor in the sleeping bag with my clothes on. Just like usually how I spent my nights in her room when we were younger," Brian explained. "So does this mean that the kid's yours?" Nick asked, still confused. "Yeah, I guess. I don't know," Brian said. Now he's confused him-self. "But why did she lied?" Nick asked. "Why didn't she tell you so you guys can work it out together?" "I don't know Nick. I'm gonna aske her," Brian said and took a deep breath. "I really don't know."
Brian was more confused than ever. He couldn't wait to see Danniella and aske her. He wanted to know the truth. Did she think I must be stupid? Why did she put herself in this situation that doesn't do any good for her? Brian thought but couldn't find the answer. One week went by and they were on the plane back to Orlando. Nick was talking to Kayla on the phone when they were in the van driving back to the apartment. "I miss you so much. So how did it go?" Nick asked. "Okay. They said I can start with some photo sessions and they'll see if anyone is interested. And guess what! Seventeen magazine called and they want me in their beauty articles," She screamed and the boys can hear her from the phone. "Hey, tell her congrats," Brian said. "Hey Kay! Bri, and the whole gang wants to say congratulations... Okay...Okay..yeah...I love you too..I'll see you tomorrow..bye!" Nick hung up the phone and smiled at the others. "Man. Would someone slap him! He's too happy," AJ said and laughed. "Forgive him. He's a blondie!" Kevin said and everyone laughed.
When they got home, Brian grabbed his keys and went to Danniella's. It was pretty late but he couldn't wait any longer. He needed to talk to her. Danniella opened the door and Brian just stood there and stared at her. "Brian. What are you doing here so late?" She asked him. "Danni, I need to ask you something. You have to be truthful." Brian sounded serious and worried. "Yeah. Brian, what's wrong? Come in." They walked inside and went to the kitchen. "Is Kyle my son? I just want to know. Why did you lie?" Brian asked. "Brian! Kyle's adopted! He's not your son! Where did you get that idea! We never did anything together," Danniella turned around and started to stack the dishes into the cupboard. "Yes we did! I remember cuz, I did a lot of thinking. Danni, I was drunk, not stupid! You can't fool me! How can you let me be so irresponsible?" Danniella dropped a dish, and cut herself. "Danni! Are you alright?" He helped her pick the broken ceramic up and throw them in the trash. he took her finger and used his tongue to feel the little ceramic piece tuck in her skin. Then he used his teeth to pull it out. Danniella didn't know what to say but stood there and cried. Danniella finally spoke, "Kyle is your son. It kills me everyday because he looks so much like you, I really missed you," Danniella looked Brian and hugged him. "Danni...Let me take care of Kyle with you. I want to be responsible for what I did. I'm sorry." He kissed her and held her tight to his body. Brian spent the night with Danniella in her room.
"Wake up! It's morning!" Kyle came in and climbed onto the bed. "Brian! Mommy! Wake up!" He climbed onto Brian. "Hey! Morning Buddy! Why don't you go and brush your teeth and then we'll have some breakfast," Brian told him. "Okee!" Kyle got off the bed and went out. Brian turned over to Danniella. "So what's his full name?" "Kyle Thomas Littrell," she mummbled, still half asleep. "Really? That's cool," Brian said. "How come you never told me you were pregnant? I wish I was ther in the hospital when you had him." "Me too. You have no idea how painful it was," she giggled. "Really? Owww...I'm sorry." "But it was worth it. Definitely," she looked into Brian's eyes. "I didn't tell you because you didn't like me at the time. I was your best friend and nothing else. Kyle was only going to give you more problems." "What did your parents say?" Brian asked. "They don't know. I moved here a month later and found out I was pregnant. I knew it belong to you because I've never been with any othe man. I had to stop studying medicine and borned out the little fellow," she explained. Brian didn't know what to say. Danniella have been through a lot for him. She had to take care of is son and gave up her dreams as a doctor. Now he knows how Nick feels about Kayla. Nick was right, the only thing Brian wants to do was to make Danniella happy.
