Always Coca-Cola

Well that's just a few of the slogans use by Coca-Cola, to us it simply means a great drink.

Coca-Cola has emerged from it's humble beginnings in Atlanta, Georgia in 1886 to become the No. 1 soft drink manufacture distributing to over 195 counties. Originally it was used as a drug to relieve headaches and other aliments. The infamous bottle emerging firstly in 1894 but did not truly arrive until 1899 these bottles were straight sided and it was not until 1916 when Coca-Cola had decided to change it's bottles. This was because of the growing number of imitators, so from a statement by B F Thomas, "We need a bottle which a person can recognize as a Coca-cola bottle when he feels it in the dark" the ideas flowed. From this bottle manufactures were invited to submit designs with the winning design being the bottle we now know. The design was based on a Coca pod (which had been mistaken for a coca bean) and the colour of the glass was a green know as German green. This was later changed to Georgia green in honour of the home state of Coca-Cola.
