From the March 1 Zap2it.com News:

Cross Completes 'Housewives' Quartet

LOS ANGELES - Marcia Cross will take the final lead in ABC's drama "Desperate Housewives," topping the latest slew of casting news.

The former "Melrose Place" co-star will join Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria in the pilot from Touchstone TV. The drama focuses on the lives of four women living on a cul-de-sac in Anytown, USA. She'll play a women who looks like she has everything, but naturally there will be secrets.

Cross can currently be seen as Linda on The WB's "Everwood" and her previous credits include stints on "Boy Meets World" and "M.A.N.T.I.S."

In other ABC casting news on a more established series, Raymond J. Barry will appear in multiple episodes of "Alias" playing Sen. Reed, father of Melissa George's duplicitous Lauren.

Over on CBS, "Kingpin" star Yancey Arias will take a key role in the drama "Wanted." Arias will play a zealous cop on an LAPD fugitive apprehension team, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Also, Melinda McGraw will appear in "Center of the Universe," playing the sister of John Goodman's character, a family man trying to keep peace with his Chicago family.

Last development season, Ben Feldman has the lead in The WB's "The Mayor," which was picked up for midseason, but ultimately dropped. The network will try again with the relative newcomer, casting Feldman in "Robbing the Cradle." He'll play a 24-year-old who moves home to live with his mom and her new 24-year-old boyfriend.

Feldman's credits are limited to an appearance on "Less Than Perfect" and the upcoming indie feature "When Do We Eat?"

Finally, Jill Ritchie has been cast in "Lucky Us" for FOX. Ritchie ("Nancy Drew") will play the best friend of Chyler Leigh's character, a young woman go goes on a blind date and ends up having a baby.

I hope her housewife character is like Betsy, one of Kimberly's alternate personalities. I thought she was hot. And teamed up with Teri "Lois Lane" Hatcher - YOWSA!
