From the February 26th Zap2it.com News:

Langella to ABC, Estes and Fenn
Join 'Gilmore' Spin-off

LOS ANGELES - Frank Langella, a two-time Tony-winner and veteran of the big and small screen, will star in the ABC pilot "111 Grammercy Park." Produced by Warner Bros. TV and Tennenbaum Co., the drama will feature Langella as the doorman at a posh New York apartment building, still providing discreet service after 46 years on the job.

This will be Langella's first regular network TV gig since "The Beast," but the actor also appeared on episodes of "Star Trek: Deep Space 9." A frequent screen villain, Langella starred in John Badham's 1979 "Dracula." He also shivered Geena Davis' timbers in "Cutthroat Island" and was attempted to harness the power of Grayskull as Skeletor in "Masters of the Universe." His Tonys came for 1975's "Seascape" and last year for "Fortune's Fool."

Rob Estes and Sherilyn Fenn have been added to the cast of The WB's "Gilmore Girls" spin-off. The currently untitled show will focus on Milo Ventimiglia's bad boy, Jess. Estes will play Jess's estranged father and Fenn will play the father's girlfriend.

Since a four-year run on "Silk Stalkings" and and three seasons on "Melrose Place," Estes has made brief appearances on "Suddenly Susan" and "Providence." He also starred in the WB pilot "Home of the Brave" last year.

Fenn is best remembered as Audrey Horne from "Twin Peaks" and best forgotten as the eponymous limbless star of "Boxing Helena." She starred in "Rude Awakening" on Showtime and appeared in the pilot for The WB's "Birds of Prey" before being replaced by Mia Sara.

In other casting news, according to The Hollywood Reporter, James Pickens Jr. ("The X-Files"), David Krumholtz ("The Trouble With Normal"), Frances Fisher ("Titus") and Matt Craven ("L.A. Doctors") will join Rob Lowe in the NBC legal pilot "The Lyons Den."

In the pilot from 20th Century Fox TV and Brad Grey TV, Lowe will play Daniel Crane, an idealistic attorney for a street-law clinic who gets offered a partnership at a prominent law firm. Pickens will play one of the partners at the firm and Craven one of Crane's clinic colleagues. Krumholtz and Fisher will play a paralegal and secretary respectively.

I don't watch Gilmore Girls. If it's picked up, I won't be watching the spin-off.
