TV style vs. real-life style of the women of Sex in the City From the June 12th US Weekly:

STYLE CITY

THE SEXIEST WOMEN ON TV

IN THE THREE SEASONS IT HAS GRACED SMALL SCREENS, HBO'S Sex and the City has emerged as television's most stylish show. In evidence are the nameplate necklaces that have appeared between the collarbones of fashion divas from coast to coast and the number of Fendi baguette bags seen dangling from elbows. But its not just Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda who are trendsetters: The women who portray them have been getting attention for their offscreen styles as well. In fact, each actress's real-life wardrobe bear a striking resemblance to what she wears onscreen. The similarities make us wonder whether life is imitating art or vice versa. Only their stylists know for sure.

JENNY COMITA

SARAH JESSICA PARKER
TV STYLE
As Carrie, Parker dons funky ensembles like fur coats with camouflage pants. She's also a fan of expensive designer threads.

REAL-LIFE STYLE
Parker's always elegant but sometimes outlandish wardrobe (which has the same off-beat edge as Carrie's attire) has landed her on both best and worst-dressed lists.

KIM CATTRALL
TV STYLE
Samantha is the ultimate sexy woman. She wears low-cut dresses and beautiful lingerie, even when she's hung-over or on her way to the gym.

REAL-LIFE STYLE
In these slinky, body-hugging, cleavage-revealing gowns, Cattrall is just as seductive as her television alter ego.

KRISTIN DAVIS
TV STYLE
Charlotte, who works in an art gallery, is by far the most demure of the bunch. She favors fashion-conscious but conservative clothes.

REAL-LIFE STYLE
Davis is a sweet southern belle (a North Carolina native) whose classically cut, very feminine wardrobe wouldn't make her character blush.

CYNTHIA NIXON
TV STYLE
Lawyer Miranda wears buttoned-up business suits to work and hip, colorful garb after-hours.

REAL-LIFE STYLE
We have yet to spot Nixon in a navy-blue blazer off-camera, but the outfits she wears here show that she shares her character's taste for both classic and unconventional designs.

I can't get into the show. I don't find it funny. But I really like the new promo using the Andrea True Connection song, "More, More, More."
