Kristin Davis' Take Me Home is panned by Us Weekly From the May 1st Us Weekly:

TAKE ME HOME:
THE JOHN
DENVER STORY

CBS * SUNDAY, APRIL 30 * 9 P.M.

POOR CHAD LOWE. First a billion TV viewers saw him cry when his wife, Hilary Swank, won the Best Actress Oscar. Now hundreds will see him wearing a dorky shag wig as the late folk-pop singer-songwriter John Denver. A good sport, Lowe (Now and Again, Life Goes On) resists the temptation to make the notoriously unhip Denver any hipper. (He deserves a medal for his unironic reading of Denver's catchphrase, "Far out!") But Lowe gets no help from the superficial and sanitized script of Take Me Home (based on Denver's autobiography of the same name). It concentrates on the singer's marriage to, and subsequent divorce from, Annie (as in "Annie's Song"), played by Kristin Davis (Sex in the City) in a series of wigs and hair extensions that are the most memorable thing in the movie.
One and a half stars Lowe's Rocky Mountain low. If you like Denver's music, play a record.

John Denver, unhip? I always thought he was cool.
