RENA SOFER JOINS MELROSE PLACE
     Daytime Emmy Award winner Rena Sofer (ex-Rocky Domecq, Loving; ex-Lois Cerullo Ashton, General Hospital) has joined the cast of Melrose Place as Eve, a singer who has a past with Amanda (Heather Locklear). Both Fox Entertainment and Spelling Entertainment, which produces the Fox soap, are quite fond of the actress. "She's so sweet, talented and dedicated," a Fox exec tells TVGEN. Sofer first airs in late September/early October.
