A review of Rob Estes' The Man Who Used To Be Me From the July 15th TV Guide:

HITS & MISSES

BRIEF REVIEWS OF THIS WEEK'S NOTABLE PROGRAMS

BY DAMIAN J. HOLBROOK

THE MAN WHO USED TO BE ME (Sun., July 16, FAM) TV-PG Time-travel tales are tricky you need an open mind. But this cable clinker calls for no mind at all, since it hinges on the absurd notion that chiseled Rob Estes will grow up to be grizzled William Devane. Devane slums it up as a boozy ex-policeman from 2020 who goes back in time to help his hunky younger self (Estes) catch his dad's killer. There's so little suspense or style here (crooked cops again?) that for two hours, I felt like I was trapped in a wasted-time machine. My score (0-10): 2

If there were such a thing as time machines, I'd go back in time and not watch this.
