Will Alyssa Milano Regret Being a Candie's Girl?

Squeaky-clean Charmed cutie Alyssa Milano might be biting off more than she can chew by endorsing a wide range of Candie's products, including fragrances and apparel.

"I'm thrilled to be associated with this brand," Milano said in a statement. "Candie's advertising has always been very young, sexy and cutting edge. So this was something I didn't have to think too hard about doing."

Um, Alyssa, have you forgotten the whole Jenny McCarthy/Candie's controversy? The last time Candie's did a major print and TV campaign with a babe � namely Ms. McCarthy � the company and the starlet were criticized for a print ad that showed McCarthy sitting on a toilet with her panties around her ankles.

Adding fuel to the fire is a report in the New York Post claiming that the TV ads prominently feature Milano's cleavage as well as scenes of her in front of a bathroom cabinet stuffed with condoms.

"The ads are not like that," a source close to Milano tells Dish. "They're very playful and not meant to be erotic or raunchy." There are, however, some shots of condoms and underwear.

"This is a sexy and irreverent campaign designed to appeal to Generation Y and stand apart from the clich� images of models in romantic settings that has become a formula in fragrance advertising," Neal Katz, CEO of Candie's, said in a statement.

Hmmm... we wonder what Milano's mom, Lin, thinks of all this seeing as how she's made a name for herself by going after Internet bandits who objectify celebrities. Lin Milano did not return calls by press time.� Jonathan Reiner
