*Now that star-crossed lovers Ryan and Megan have found their way to each other, will they be able to stay a happy couple for long? Don't count on it! As the new year unfolds, the two find themselves threatened by Lexi and by Ryan's past. "Lexi, who is supposed to be their friend, gets involved with them in a weird way, and Ryan has a secret of his own that affects his relationship with Megan," hints executive producer Carol Mendelsohn. Lexi, in fact, has a plan up her tight little spandex sleeve. After her disastrous Christmas, she makes a New Year's resolution: "She decides that she's not going to be alone next year and comes up with a plan to be with Mr. Right," says Mendelsohn. "And it's a man we all know."
�����Jane and Michael's difficulties will also spin off in a new direction in January. "Because of all the animosity between them, and trying to one-up each other during the divorce, they are stuck with a huge legal bill," says the producer. To make matters worse, Michael lets his greed get the better of him... and he ends up in hot water. Look for Michael to take risks involving the hospital, Jane and his relationship with Peter. He's trying to save his own neck, but it could all blow up in his face! But knowing the good doctor and all the jams he's been able to get himself out of, don't be surprised if he ends up on top once more!
