MATT'S DEATH BRINGS NEW LIFE TO MP

While many characters are moving out (Billy, Samantha, Jennifer, Taylor and Coop), one familiar face is coming back on Monday, August 17, when Jane returns to wreak havoc on Michael's life. As Michael tries to cope with Taylor's pregnancy, he escapes to his college reunion, where he comes face-to-face with his ex-wife, who's now a changed woman. "Jane is a new, smarter, tougher, more confident, independent person," promises executive producer Charles Pratt.
�����Expect sparks to fly between the two... and to continue when Jane returns to L.A. and becomes good pals with Amanda, who will struggle to get her relationship with Kyle back on track after a disastrous short-lived marriage to Rory.
�����"Our fall premiere (September 14) is a little different for us'' says executive producer Carol Mendelsohn, about the episode that revolves around the off-camera death of Matt and revelations contained in his diary. "We took each of our characters and wove them into a story revolving around the death of Matt," reveals Pratt. "We learn all new things: Secrets about Michael and Peter. There's a torn-out page and a mystery. All of these secrets launch our stories for next year."
�����Look for Lexie to be beefed up as she goes toe-to-toe with Amanda. And two new characters, including Kyle's estranged brother, will be introduced thanks to the journal. Watch for more of a focus on the residents of the apartment complex.
