Alexandra Paul is sad The Place was cancelled From the June 22nd Soap Opera Update:

WHO'S HIRED AND WHO'S FIRED
Farewells
END OF THE ROAD!
MELROSE PLACE star gets in shape for next series

Former BAYWATCH star Alexandra Paul was working for only a week as MELROSE PLACE's Terry when news came of the show's demise. Paul so desired to work with producer Aaron Spelling, she took the role of Terry without knowing that her tenure with the show would be short-lived.
"I would love to work with him (Spelling) again," admits the actress and environmentalist. "I feel very honored to have been given this opportunity." That honor may happen again should Paul land a role on Spelling's new WB hit RESCUE 77. After all, the show requires strength and stamina, and the physically fit actress is an Ironman Triathlete! In addition, she also is a trained E.M.T.
As Paul hits the audition trail for a new series, she laments the passing of MP, which she describes as "a seminal part of television in the '90s. It's sort of fitting that it comes to an end at the end of the decade," she realizes. "I'm sorry that the show has been canceled and I'm sorry for the viewers. But you can always count on another Spelling show being right around the corner."

Of course she laments the show's demise. It cost her a steady paycheck.
