GENERAL HOSPITAL's reliable and dependable Ned, played to perfection by Wally Kurth, is going through a time of transition in his off-screen life. He and wife Rena Sofer, who have been married for five years, have separated, but he recently stated at a fan gathering that he "and Rena are trying to work things out." They have a three-year-old daughter named Rosabel Rosalind whom they both adore, and while Sofer was filming a new TV pilot, Kurth was watching their little girl.
�����As for his time on GH, Ned may not be seen on screen too often in the near future. Kurth is getting two months off this summer to film a movie that is close to his heart. How will his absence affect his storyline with Alexis? Right now, the two are finally able to freely love one another, but while the audience seems to love their romantic antics, the stars are reportedly getting tired of feeding each other chocolate-covered cherries! With time off, the GH writers may be able to spice up their storyline.
