Let's stroll down memory lane with 12 daytime and prime-time pairs.

Amanda
MELROSE PLACE

1995: Amanda Woodward never gives up when it comes to love. (In truth, she gives it up all the time.) After rocky relationships with with Billy and Jake, she was smitten with Dr. Peter Burns, who secretly purchased D&D Advertising and wanted to depose her as head of the agency. After a romantic dinner and a second date at the Hollywood Bowl. He schemed to put his lover, Caitlin, in Amanda's place at Dad.
�����Peter threatened to fire Amanda, who accused him of sexual harassment. He arranged for Amanda to fail a drug test - grounds for dismissal. But you can't keep Amanda down. Amanda got her job back, dumped Caitlin and exposed Peter. He was so flipped out that he planned to kill her after getting her on the operating table. Michael (of all people) saved the day.
1996: Redeemed and totally in love with Amanda, Peter was jailed (accused of killing Bobby, Amanda's ex-brother-in-law/former lover). Amanda wed Peter in prison (a wife can't be forced to testify against her hubby). Afterward, the cops suggested that Amanda might not have married the "real" Peter Burns. Uh oh. But he turned out to be the real deal. (Actually, Peter is really Peter Howell)
1997: Taylor and her husband, Kyle, arrived to open a restaurant. He didn't know that the real reason that she came to L.A. was to bed her dead sister's ex-husband. Yup. Peter. Suspicious Amanda wondered why Taylor was hanging around. Meanwhile, Peter suspected that Amanda was sleeping with Craig, so he had sex with Taylor. Several times. Kyle kicked Taylor out. Amanda finally did have a fling with Craig, but then hooked up with Kyle. By then, Peter was smitten with Taylor. The unhappy foursome met over dinner at Kyle's restaurant, no less, to discuss divorce and moving on. Fat chance. Peter ditched Taylor at the altar (after uncovering the nasty things she'd done to wreck his life) and asked Lexie (sic) to move in.
1998: Kyle and Amanda quickly married, and just as quickly split. She ambled into bed with Rory, a relationship that's clearly not going to last. Meanwhile, Lexie and Peter's romance is rocky, to say the least. We're betting that before too long, Peter will decide he wants Amanda - the woman he once tried to kill - back in his arms again.

& Kelly
BEVERLY HILLS, 90210

1990: The Walsh family moved to Beverly Hills from Minnesota, and 16-year-old Brandon became friends with sister Brenda's new best pal, Kelly Taylor.
1991: Brandon dated psycho babe Emily Valentine, who left town. Brandon and Kelly attended the Spring Dance together. They kissed, but true sparks weren't there... yet.
1992: Kelly dated Dylan while Brenda was summering in Paris, but in the fall, he stayed with Brenda. Brandon dated Brooke and Nikki. Brenda finally learned what had transpired between her beau and her best friend. The girls ordered him to choose. The winner: Kelly.
1993: Brandon attended the prom with good buddy Andrea. They considered having sex, but just said no. Dylan and Kelly went to Europe; she returned alone. Single again, Kelly dated frat rat John. Brandon had a fling with Lucinda (his professor's wife).
1994: Kelly reunited with Dylan. At Task Force camp, she and Brandon kissed. When Dylan learned about it, he threw a punch at Brandon - but struck Steve. Kelly joined Brandon in Washington, D.C. on Task Force business, where things got romantic.
l995: Kelly waffled between Brandon and Dylan. Dylan planned a round-the-world trip for them; Brandon proposed marriage. She rejected both offers and took up with Colin, who got her hooked on cocaine; Brandon dated Susan.
1996: When Susan nixed her and Brandon's summer trip in favor of a D.C. job, Brandon called it quits. Kelly dumped Colin for rehab. Later, Kelly dated C.U.'s TV station director, Mark, while Brandon went out with anchorwoman Tracy.
1997: Kelly broke up with Mark. Tracy found Kelly's engagement ring, which she assumed was meant for her. Oops. A reunited Brandon and Kelly set up housekeeping at Casa Walsh. Kelly got pregnant, but miscarried. Brandon hired sexy Emma to work at the newspaper. They had sex. He regretted it, big time.
1998: Kelly learned of the tryst and moved out. Brandon begged for a second chance. She agreed, but still had trust issues. Brandon proposed again. This time, Kelly accepted. At the church, Brandon and Kelly expressed their doubts, and mutually agreed not to tie the knot. Where do they go from here? Tune in this fall...
