SPELLING ADDRESSES RUMORS
It would take a force field for Aaron Spelling to protect himself from the rumors dogging his shows these days. To separate fact from fiction, we went right to the boss. What about the gossip that has Heather Locklear (ex-Amanda, MELROSE PLACE) joining the cast of BEVERLY HILLS, 90210? "There was never any [truth to that]," Spelling insists. "I've read all the stories. I read that I was going to use Monica Lewinsky on SUNSET BEACH." About that rumor, started in the National Enquirer, Spelling reveals, "We were suing them [over that]. They printed a retraction this week. I was so upset. It's not against her or anything. I just wouldn't propose that... Tori called me screaming, 'Dad, how could you do something so sleazy?' Those kinds of things bother me. The cast heard about it. I think that they thought, 'He'll do anything for ratings.'"
�����Not quite, corrects Spelling with a laugh: "I will do almost anything." And what of the buzz that DYNASTY diva Joan Collins (ex-Alexis) is moving to the 90210 zip code? "There isn't any truth to it at all," a Spelling spokesperson insists.
